The First Week of Work (Patreon)
Content
Actually, this is less of an announcement of more of a blog post about the first week. I am writing this literal minutes after uploading Living Life's chapter, which means that from my perspective, I'm still not done with the first week of work.
Still, that's not going to stop me!
Now, I know that not everyone is interested in hearing about this, so I won't blame you if you choose to skip this post. That being said, to those that wanted to hear about it, sorry to also say that it's not going to be too long.
Why is that? Well, the simplest answer is that I am dead tired. The main issue I have right now is definitely my old sleep schedule, as I now have to completely reverse that. Let me just say, it hasn't been easy, but I'm confident that I'll get used to it. Eventually.
The other main thing is that the commute is hell. The weather right now is fluctuating between hot and humid, and then raining hard, only to loop back to humid. It's made getting on any form of transportation a nightmare.
Despite that though, I could see myself lasting a fairly long time at this place. I haven't been able to do actual work yet, since I'm still in training for it, but from what I've seen of the work that the people in my department do, it's something that I can do without too much trouble. Or, at least, I can do it on my own without having to interact with too many people in a day.
Overall, despite my legs feeling like jello, the heat and the commute, I am satisfied. It's hard to put into words, but between my stories doing better (I am basing this on Spacebattles too, since the stats on FFnet have been broken for months), more people coming to support me on here, I can say that I have been more content than I have in a long while.
So yeah, will all that said, I will be keeping up the updates. The only difference is that the time schedule I have now will be made more or less permanent - that is to say, updates will go from releasing at 12nn UTC, to 2pm UTC.
As always, thank you all for your support. This has been a great TEDTalk.
Tl;dr: Author talks about life. Updates are now at 2pm UTC.
