June has a number of milestones/anniversaries for me: 10 years since reviving this project and making my demons dance for dollars, 7 years since I walked away from codependency and started living alone after 20+ years, 5 years since I really began to get to the root of this kink. 5 years since I'd put in enough hard work to strengthen and forgive myself for the things I'd said and done in the name of what was a controlling obsession, and beginning to approach the creative process as a part of facing my Shadow and really getting to the bottom of things. 5 years since moving away from pointless friendships with narcissistic people, and walking the solitary path to some sort of self-actualization and rebuilding my life in a mindful way. June also marks a year since this project helped me finally pay off a sizeable debt.
