Hello lovely patrons!

Welcome to our newest monthly update where we update you on all things Two and a Half Studios. As always, these will come out every month on the 6th (AEST).

July was absolutely packed with travel for the team, with SMASH! Sydney and our trip to Europe for FFXIV Fanfest. Between all the travel, we still managed to get a good chunk of work done, so we have a lot to share today!

The Willowmist Emporium of Antiques and Curiosities

Art

This month, we finished up with two brand new character sprites, two Winnie CGs, a new outfit for Winnie, and started on the final CG for Winnie!

Once this is complete, we'll only have two CGs for Eden left and all the character route CGs will be complete. From there, we'll be working on additional side characters and other CGs that will show throughout the game.

We're also considering adding some mini/chibi CGs throughout the game in the future!

Writing, Editing and Outlining

Once the newest ADWD2 beta is released, we plan to begin working on the new beta for Willowmist, which will include the next week of content. We've had it written for some time, but we're excited to finally see it running in game!

During the festival at the end of week 2, you'll be able to make a wish for Sage. Depending on your answers, you'll get different boons and rewards, so think carefully~

You'll also have the chance to meet Isla, who we showed the sprite for a couple of months back now.

Writing & Editing

Between everything else, we managed to polish off day 4 of Atlas' route and day 3 of 5012's route. We plan the next beta to go up to day 4 of each character route (so, 6 extra days!!!), so we're nearly at the point of being ready to move onto programming.

We're getting into the spoiler territory the further into the routes we get, so have these out of context snippets!

Art

We finished up with 3x Atlas CGs this month, and began work on our final side character sprite. We'll be showing her sketch later this month!

We also finished up something very exciting - our customizable room! Nichole worked tireless for dozens of hours, so we're really excited to get it hopefully in the next beta :)

Here's a random combination of items - you'll be able to mix and match between sets!

We'll have some more previews below in the programming section.

On top of that, we also finished up with 5 new mini CGs. I heard some of you wanted to see a certain flame kitty?

We'll soon be implementing the beginning of the cat feature(?), which will let you befriend and maybe adopt a certain flame cat.

We also finished up with another of the 2D side scroll sprites and sketched out another character, both of whom appear in the beta.

We'll be working on implementing him for the next beta!

Lastly, here's a preview of a merch item we are hoping to have available at Animaga - a dangling maid keychain of Casper, illustrated by the wonderful sadisgates!

Programming

We managed to implement the entire room creation feature into the game after returning from overseas!

Please keep in mind there is no UI at the moment, but we're working on getting that created right now.

A few random combinations - it's been so fun playing around with all the different options, and it's going to be even cooler once Kathaeris finishes up with the UI.

We'll be going through the game to make sure everything works well, but you'll have to start a new save in the next beta/full release due to the major changes.

Plushie Rerun

Shhh, don't tell anyone, but we'll be rerunning the Casper plushie on Makeship at the end of the month!
