Wednesday 'WIP' Report: July 8th (Patreon)

Hello there, I hope you've been well!Running late today and this week in general. I've been working on the Rakshasha Lair mostly to have it ready for the 11th. I've seen the WIP of the scene by James' RPG Art and I'm really excited to see the finished piece :D I am behind on this a little and will need to really focus tomorrow to get it done in time, but I'm determined to get it done so as not to fail James and his team. This map has a bright and welcoming temple built into the side of a mountain / rockface. This is where the Rakshasha spends time in disguise, luring unsuspecting travelers inside with a warm and welcoming embraceIt doesn't take long for the Rakshasha to get to work, either incapacitating its prey through poison, magic, or just good ol' fashion brute force. Before you know it, you're being dragged through a dank and dark dungeon.
If you manage to get yourself free, or found your way in on your own terms, you'll finally come to the Rakshashas sanctuary. From here, it can scry through the eyes of these skulls at various places throughout the dugeon, all while relaxing and enjoying the spoils it has reaped. This map isn't all that big, but I'm pretty happy with it! This will be out before you know it, with a cool custom scene to accompany it. No AI here, just good ol fashion hard work and collaborating. I've also been working on a commission ship for a Patron of mine, as well as a new Magitech Carrier landship, but that isn't far enough along for a proper WIP....well, it's not really proper but here's me on the struggle bus, trying to figure out how to make the legsLastly, another apology from me for holding off on this weeks Monday Modular piece, I was going to try and get it out later in the week but decided to just push it back. In that vein, you may have also noticed that I've switched from doing the Thursday Thaumaturgy on the same week as the Tuesday Poll, to having a week in between the poll and the map. I just struggle a bit irl which makes it hard to be consistent with getting that map turned around within 24 hours.I hope that won't be too inconvenient, my hope is that this will help me to get higher quality pieces out, while still staying nimble with the maps and getting you content each week. Thanks so much for hanging out and being part of the journey, and thanks for reading through all this!Much love, until next time o7
