Love doing this pose even though the sculpting for it is quite difficult to get it to look right 😌

Also for anyone interested, I've made some changes to my workflow. The post-processing for this one was done almost entirely in Blender instead of Photoshop (which I still used for a few touch-ups at the end). The problem with my old workflow of doing everything in Photoshop was that you can only push a PNG or TIFF file so far in terms of editing before you start to get banding/detail loss, and OpenEXR files that are supposed to circumvent this are not compatible in PS for some reason.

When editing inside of Blender itself you can take advantage of the full range of data before the view transform (AgX, Filmic, etc.) is applied to the image, much like editing photos in RAW in photography. I'm using the Render Raw addon for this and it's pretty incredible how similar it is to editing in a standalone program like PS or Lightroom, although obviously not as in depth and polished. Also being able to see the edits in realtime in the viewport is a huge benefit. So I think this is what I'll be doing from now on.

At any rate thank you for your continued support despite being slow to put out renders as of late. I appreciate you all 🤍

Been a moment since I had a chance to leave a comment on a render, but amazing work, as usual! I'm always impressed by your lighting, sculpt work, and color grading. Excellently done! As for the more technical part of your post, my workflow has been to save multiple copies of any given render (e.g., one with nothing applied in the Compositor, one with just Glare -> Fog Glow, and lastly one with Glare -> Fog Glow + a touch of other fx, like Blur, Lens Distortion -> Dispersion, and Lens Distortion -> Jitter) all exported in OpenEXR format so all data is retained. I then import the images into DaVinci Resolve, which, with a node setup, can read and convert the images to how they looked in the Compositor while still retaining the full range of color data for editing and grading. The great thing about DaVinci is, like you mentioned about the Render Raw add-on, the edits occur in realtime, which is incredibly useful! Yup I messed around with grading in Resolve for a bit because it can use OpenEXR files but it's just daunting to learn a whole new program rn 😅 Especially one meant for video editing primarily. Once I start doing animations I'll definitely be using it though! Seems super powerful once you get acquainted with it.

Yeah, its primary purpose is video editing, so in terms of touching up still renders, there are definitely better tools suited to the job. But even for still renders, it's a fun, powerful tool, and definitely better than not doing any post at all lol I was actually turned onto using Resolve by my friend Nagoo, which you might be familiar with his works since we all travel in the 3D NSFW Blender space. He uses it to post-process his animations and definitely recommends it, especially for that purpose
