Let me be the first to comment. I don’t understand the rookie attorneys’ competitiveness either, cooperation and teamwork is a valuable strength. One’s achievements needn’t be at the expense of another’s. They hinted in earlier episodes the head of the rival firm was Attorney Woo’s mother, but the fact even the mom didn’t know she had a daughter was a surprise to me. I realise you must know all the answers by now. I can understand a father not knowing they have a child in the world, but a mother? Very odd. I initially thought the mom took the case personally to observe her daughter’s reputation for herself, but their introduction in the ladies restroom made it clear she had little to no recollection who Attorney Woo was. (Sorry, you’ve memorised the names of the characters far better than me 😆) I blame my lack of Korean in not picking up the emotional cues, clues and breadcrumbs they must’ve left in earlier episodes 😁
