Such a great movie! Watched it as a kid

"How was this not the biggest hit ever in the movie theaters when it came out?" Great question! 1939 is considered one of Hollywood's greatest years as, besides The Wizard of Oz, you had: Gone with the Wind (Best Picture Winner) Of Mice and Men Wuthering Heights Mr. Smith Goes to Washington Plus a number of other stellar films of the period. The deck was stacked! The Wizard of Oz was fifth at the box office, numbers wise though.

I remember reading all (most?) of the Wizard of Oz books when I was a kid - they are super trippy and WILD. The cast of characters is wildly expanded and the world-building is actually insane. At least, that's how I remember it decades later...not sure if they'll hold up.

Jax, I have to say, I’ve seen this movie at least 30 times, and I have never once noticed that toucan in the tree. 🤣🤣 Great reaction, as always!

Great reaction Mrs. Jax I haven't seen this wonderful movie in years I'm so happy I get the chance to witness it with you all these years. Wizard Of Oz is such a great film. I loved this reaction so much . My favorite character is the tin man♥️♥️

There’s a small glitch in the video at 26:48, the sound goes out of sync from there until 29:22.

Regarding tornadoes... I had never experienced one either, until I visited Florida for the very first time to see my Mom in Cape Coral. The very same night I arrived there was a tornado that swept through town. We all slept through it, but in the morning everything was littered with palm leaves. There were even some boats just randomly laying in the streets.
