Here is my Full Reaction to the 1967 movie The Jungle Book!

I LOVED this movie! This one had really fallen under my radar. I never expected to find this so entertaining and adorable. Mowgli's journey through the jungle was a perfect coming of age story. This young boy has such a deep love for nature, yet he can't deny his humanness. The characters were so lovable, the songs were catchy, and the ending was perfection! I can't wait to see the live action version.

Watched on: Disney+ / Runtime: 1:20:37

Hope you enjoy!

Yes! The bare necessities! What a nostalgia trip this will be. I'm so glad to hear you'll be reacting to the live action version. Happy Hogan directed it! It might be the best Disney live action remake. He also did the Lion King live action version.

Jace

Haven’t watched The Jungle Book for a very long time since I was a kid

Yes!!! The Jungle Book is my favorite Disney movie. I'm glad you finally watched it Jax. Bagheera and Baloo are my two favorite characters. Shere Khan is also sinister and memorable vilain.

TheEbonyElephant

I remember watching this and always redoing the buzzards’ gag with Mother.

Adrian Duenas

This was the last animated film that Walt Disney had any involvement with. He died during production and never got to see the ending.

Phillip Arthur

If you love the animation version of The jungle book you will love the live action it came out 2016 it was directed by John favreau as you might know he plays happy Hogan in the MCU Mrs Jax. hope you get a chance to see that. This movie was and always will be a timeless classic ♥️♥️❤️

Robert Inman

Thanks Jax! A few times you mentioned similarities to Disney's Tarzan, but it'd be better to say Tarzan resembled this (it was decades later). Incidentally, Rudyard Kipling wrote his jungle stories a couple of decades before Burroughs wrote the first Tarzan stories (1890s vs 1910s) - though Burroughs claimed his inspiration was the Romulus and Remus myth not Kipling's Mowgli..

Mister Lou

I think Disney started the Elephants Never Forget myth with this movie, and they recently with Zootopia they switched it up, making the Stoner Ox having a greater memory than the Elephant doing naked yoga.. Whenever I revisit this movie Kah the Snake's voice is Winnie the Pooh the laugh always gives it away and I can't unsee it.. unhear it..?

Horace Cocroft

This is the first movie I ever saw in a movie theater. I was four. I slept through most of it.

Ed Scoglio

Easily my favorite Disneyn animated movie of all time! Baloo and O'Malley were indeed voiced by the same actor, Phil Harris. Easily my favorite Disney voice actor ever. The man also very much looked like he'd be the voice of a cartoon bear! Several of the characters would also be used for the TaleSpin cartoon, which I am for sure about to rewatch! Some of this animation was also reused in the Robin Hood movie that Disney made a few years later. That is also totally worth watching Jax!

Man, it's weird how when ever Kaa says something, all i can see is Winnie, the Pooh. Also, how did the jungle around Balooh just suddenly turn from barren and dead to so full of life and lush? it just seemed to change every time the scene went back to him lying on the ground. lol
