Here is my full reaction to X-Men '97 S1 Episodes 7-10!

This show was fantastic and I'm really looking forward to seeing what S2 has in store for these characters. I do wish we got to see Logan a bit more. He's such a standout in the movies but he wasn't ever at the center of any of the episodes. Who knows if he'll take on a bigger role in S2 or... not. The ending of episode 10 was insane!!!

Watched on: Disney+ / Runtime: E7 - 34:12 / E8 - 33:42 / E9 - 31:27 / E10 - 42:25

Hope you enjoy!

So glad you enjoyed this show, there plenty of other Marvel and DC animated shows worth watching that are just as good, like Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, My Adventures with Superman, justice league the animated series, Avengers earth mightest heroes and more animated movies from both that are amazing!

Jax how do you you know who and what Sinister is at this point? Did I miss something?

I personally loved that Wolverine wasn’t a big focus, since it allowed the other characters to breathe compared to the movies, where Logan is always the main focus. I assume Season 2 will be the same, no doubt introducing even more mutants and hopefully other teams like X-Force and X-Factor, since the X-Men are stuck in both the past and future. I loved the little cameos as well, along with MJ and Peter watching the report on the TVs. That was a big deal because it revealed that Peter found MJ, since the 90s Spider-Man series ended on a cliffhanger, so that storyline was never completed. Literally ended with Spider-Man, assisted by Madam Webb, going on the journey to search for Mary Jane. The cameos were also great in general because they showed that the X-Men are part of the greater Marvel universe and that their actions affect these other characters and teams as well, something we never got to see in the movies because of legal rights.... Until Avengers: Doomsday (2026) at least. Seeing Daredevil, Doctor Strange, Captain America, Black Panther, Cloak & Dagger, Doctor Doom, Iron Man, to name a few. Along with Morph turning into Quicksilver, the Hulk, and Reed Richards was just fun. All of these characters previously appeared in the 90s X-Men series as cameos or in other 90s shows like Iron Man, Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, and Fantastic Four. Iron Man, Reed Richards, and the Hulk of course, also starred in their own series, Reed of course being part of the Fantastic Four series. But I should mention that Black Panther should be T’Challa, introduced during the '90s Fantastic Four series. His father, T’Chaka, was killed by Klaw when T’Challa was still a kid. He then grows up to become the Black Panther. So King T’Chaka being alive and Black Panther instead of T’Challa is a significant retcon. It was just Marvel trying not to use the character, since Chadwick Boseman passed away. So we got T'Chaka instead. Captain America was a big part of Wolverines origin. Since the Weapon Plus (Weapon X) program was heavily influenced by Project Rebirth, which created the Super Solider Serum that tuned Steve Rogers into Captain America. So X-Men '97 carried over the tend of having fun little cameo to the greater Marvel universe.

Episode 10 had a short post credit scene in the present...

I said it before, but I really do love that this show pulls no punches. Can't wait for season 2!! I did love the touch that the team wore their old school uniforms for their final mission. I always have a soft spot for that sort of thing!

The reason why Wolverine isn’t a standout in the show is because the 90s show and the comics focus more on the team dynamics rather than making Wolverine the star all the time Wolverine is great in the movies but so many comics fans get annoyed that they made him the main character of all the movies when there are other characters to focus on So this show focuses more on Scott and Storm etc and less so Wolverine He was still the most popular xmen in the comics in the 90s. And had his own solo series. But the x-men books focused on a wide a range of characters

Mid credit scene! Also will you react to the season 2 trailer?

Connor Vide

There was an end credit scene you missed! Could you maybe react to it before you watch season 2?
