Here is my full reaction to Spider-Man: Brand New Day!

This was everything I was expecting for a Spider-Man movie! While this is probably the toughest movie on Peter Parker, it did have a lot of hope. Some fantastic MCU fan favorite characters make appearances and I also enjoyed seeing the new faces that were introduced.

The villain was a surprise! I do think there should be a bigger conversation within the MCU around how people with super powers affect people without powers. Sometimes, the powers people use against others are frightening! But, I expect that we will continue to see a lot of growth for this character in future projects and that's exciting.

As a side note, I recently started reading in my Marvel Encyclopedia about Doctor Doom's character, since he will be entering into the MCU soon. That's why I knew a little more about him.

Am I missing something? Not seeing this on Disney+ and only way to stream seems to be to rent for $25 or buy. Is there another way I’m missing?

You're not missing anything. It's only available on VOD right now. The movie is still in theaters. Now there will be a VOD window for the distributor to make additional revenue before it appears on streaming. No Disney+ is announced yet but I wouldn't expect it until December as an appetizer for Avengers.

I think the handshake between Ned and Pete at the end is muscle memory, which isn't covered by the spell.

No problem! Just to correct myself, looks like it will come to Netflix before Disney+ because of a deal Sony has with Netflix. Most people seem to think it will arrive in late November or early December.

Ooh, sorry I thought you meant the non MCU Spider-Man movies. I still have to watch Ghost Rider and the Daredevil movie. I watched the entire Daredevil show, both the Netflix and Disney versions.

All good, there’s a pretty big Marvel library. They aren’t completely necessary, but having watched a bunch of reactors get to them after the fact, most usually enjoy them. I realize doing it for the channel is a bit of a time and financial decision and thats not even counting the television shows, but as I said most usually end up doing them way after the fact and post them. It’s kind of like watching the traditional MCU and then going back and watching the previous Spider-Man movies, it’s a little disjointed and some people lose track of what’s going on. Anyway, been a fan since you started your MCU journey, you have an infectious personality and it’s a delight to watch your reactions, just finished your Speed reaction, we got spoiled back in the 80’s and 90’s with movies. Thanks for the reply and enjoy your day, and rest of the year. On a quick side note, I think you’d enjoy Star Trek, the TV shows and older movies, but that’s a big investment.

I think Jean did something to Ned and MJ when she had everyone frozen. I don't think she broke the spell, but I think she unlocked something of Peter for them. Not everything, but maybe enough that they could build a friendship on again. Peter in this kind of was dealing with a little arrested development. Ned and MJ got to live 4 years of life and grew and had experiences and Peter was frozen from just after the spell. MJ rejecting him was sad, but it made sense. And I think her inviting him in was more for Peter and Ned than for herself and Peter. She could tell how lonely Peter was and knew he needed a friend. Not just a friend, but his best friend. I'll also call it now, casting Florence Pugh was the best casting decision in the MCU after RDJ as Tony Stark.

HaHaHa so funny watching you see Peter and Yelena at the baths. I agree with you-seems like Yelena is scamming Peter with her "small potato, big potato" shtick. She needs Peter to find stuff out because who else does she have? Alexei? Bucky? Those guys aren't really "figure it out" guys hahahahah

However he does mention Peter's name with a big grin. I think the handshake could be like a trigger, like for an amnesia patient. There's a wild theory that Ned and MJ being caught in the massive telepathic wake and then released might've lifted or broken the spell. It's out there of course, but powerful magic versus powerful telepathic abilities... who knows

The handshake was in all the spider-man movies. You forgot but it’s their secret handshake that started in homecoming. It was also in far from home, no way home, and even endgame So him remembering is a big deal. It wasn’t just a handshake they made that day. It’s still a mystery as to what it means. But muscle memory maybe Also the entire x-men team has been cast. It was revealed at Comic-Con this July. The movie comes out May 2028. I won’t say who’s playing who or who’s on the team if you wanna stay surprised

The movie is still in theatres. So the only way to stream it is to buy the movie on digital. It’ll be on Disney plus later

What I like to think is that Strange put in like a back door open for the spell. Like it works just like MJ said no memory at all. But maybe the spell can break with certain motions or key points that Peter can do without him even knowing. Like Ned and Peter have always done that handshake and it was enough to jog something out of him. And in the end MJ was in the same roof they were at the school holding the broken black dahlia necklace Peter got her in Europe. So I think the spell is lifting but slowly because a rush of memories can probably mess ya up. I think Strange did that for Peter for he wouldn’t be totally alone. But he didn’t think Peter would wait this long to reach out to his friends lol btw I don’t think MJ was harsh just honest. But seemed sad for him and apologized. And Peter is such a good guy. When she asked him for a swing back home he said yes of course. Someone in the comment section of the spoiler discussion said he would have made her walk. But that’s why that person ain’t spidey. Peter is truly a good guy. Tom is definitely my favorite spiderman and that scene with him seeing how people love him was so damn touching 🥹 and frank is Francis Castiglione…in the original comics. I think mcu it’s Francis David Castle. In the punisher show he uses the alias of Pete Castiglione

I've seen you watch the Avengers Doomsday official trailer on Dragon Lambys channel and it was glorious I'm going you watch the other four teaser trailers for Avengers Doomsday that came out you'll enjoy them just as much!!! Also seeing Hulk in this film was incredible ❤️❤️
