The series was not cut short Matt Bradley had said that he always liked the three extra structure so the pushback I would say they had gotten was season 3a of it lighter compared to the finale of season 2 because they were kind of pressured to be a little bit more lighter after such a dark finale but ,they got to sell the story they wanted to tell.

Now here’s some facts about this episode The 3 stones deity states that it will wait for her to take its place after 78 more years, implying that Anne will die in either 2097 or 2098 at the age of 91. Lady Olivia and General Yunan enter a romantic relationship. Here’s something that a lot of people get confused on the timeskip in Amphibia is around nine months. Anne and the girls timeskip is 10 years On the rearview mirror of Sasha's car, a heart-shaped symbol with the colors of the bisexual flag can be seen, implying that she is bisexual. Matt Braly confirmed minutes after the episode premiered that she is indeed bisexual. Her voice actress Anna Akana is also bisexual, being a possible reference to this. Some days after the premiere of the series finale, Matt Braly responded to a fan's artwork of Toadie and Toadstool with "They're in love," teasing a possible romantic relationship between them. Toadstool is voiced by Stephen Root. He voices Gideon's father, Bud Gleeful in Gravity Falls.

Anne's last name, Boonchuy (Thai: บุญช่วย), roughly translates to "one who encourages or performs good deeds" in the Thai language. Her middle name, Savisa, is named after Matt Braly's cousin, Savisa Bhumiratana. Anne was based on Braly's childhood trips to Bangkok, Thailand, in that she is a Thai-American like him. She was also based on Pacifica Northwest, a self-centered girl from Gravity Falls another disney animated show which Braly worked on! Matt Braly personally sees Anne saying goodbye to the Plantars, with the hope she will see them again one day, as his goodbye to Amphibia, with the hope that he perhaps one day will return to this world he has created.
