Time for me to be a nerd but basically when we are in the womb we all have the same makeup and apart of that makeup are nipples and later on we develop out chromosomes and that's when the fetus starts to develop male/female parts and nipples are just one of the thing that stays. Its like a blueprint but the blueprint says that nipples just stay because we don't know why. But nipples on men don't have a purpose they just have nerves and function as a major stimulatory organ. This is also why it takes a few weeks to know the sex of a baby in the womb and also men can get breast cancer just not very common
