I think the yellow part was supposed to be glossaric, so when she almost reached him, he reached her instead. I also agree that this should have been longer and it probably got shortened.

It was never really confirmed but basically Disney said we are giving you one more season aka season 4 even tho Nefcy wanted at least 3 more. So she had to rush this ark so that we can get a new one and have that with what little was given. This show even switched between Disney Channel and Disney XD it was a whole issue

The thing about Glossary is that his personality is pretty much different for each princess he trains, with moon he was much more straightforward because moons personality wasn't at the time, with star as we've seen shes is pretty headstrong and tends to be lazy/not think ahead at times, throughout the story so far glossary has made star find her own answers so she can assume more responsibility hence their last previous conversation with star saying "I need you" and him saying "maybe this is what you need" before essentially getting cutoff from glossary and his guidance. the changes you have wanted to see in stars character have begun to peak out slowly but surely as we progress. it isn't to say he's the best most amazing written character and he is frustrating but there's a reason most of the time no spoilers here just wanted to give more insight into the events that have occurred and things said.

TLDR short explanation of the events that happened, Toffee got into the wand when Star said the whispering spell a spell that destroys the magic in the wand aka the horse(The horses power the wand) once in the wand he began corrupting it so magic weakened all throughout the universe. When Star did the spell again with Ludo just like Toffee instead of dying she got trapped inside the wand magic(plot) she was chasing down the last remnant of magic and basically had a vision of Glossaryck and her where she found the last remnant of magic in the soup since it glowed while glossy was talking. grasping it she births a new horse since they all died(tofee crushing the last piece of the wand) and since the horses and magic are directly tied making a new horse revived the magic. the form she took after that I won't talk about cause I think its explained later. but shes had signs of the form i think in ep 4? when she got the little wings.

your not wrong in being confused I was confused asl too they didn't really explain things that well narratively they just left bits and pieces making it confusing
