In the magic book of spells which you can buy but don’t suggest till you finished watching the show she talks about her Ex husband king Shastacan and he is not a good husband just going to put it there

They swapped her out with a peasant because the butterfly dynasty comes from the queens (not kings) and ecllipse was the only female buttery at the the time (her mama was dead) who was royal to the throne so he could really have another kid he would need eclipse

Mewni's monarchy is dictated by queens not kings. Also it would be a spoiler to say Heinous's backstory because that'll be talked about in the future.. But what I will say is some of your theories are correct about Eclipsa and Heinous. The most I can say about Heinous that's not a spoiler, is that Ms. Heinous worked at a reform school for troubled princesses and so you can theorize how she ended up being the head mistress there.
