i dont blame Eclipsa. it wasnt stated in the show it was stated in the magic book of spells but I don't think its in print anymore but it was in her mothers will for Eclipsa to Marry her husband so she didn't even love him really which lead to her running away with a monster who she loved

Now i will say this, i’m not TOO mad at moon for attempting to end meteora. It was clear that she wasn’t gonna listen to reason at the start, and even when moon made it clear she didn’t want to hurt her, and played defensively meteora was bent on killing her. Now could moon have waited and see what meteora would have done after eclipsa gave that “i love you” speech? Absolutely, but still i understand her thinking, “if it didn’t work earlier, it wont work now.” And tryna murk her.
