Wait a minute, Christene, before, it wasn't okay for Princess Bubblegum to try and change Lemongrab's ways in the You Made Me episode, and now it's a problem when she doesn't want to change who they are in this episode? PB is a complicated yet infuriating character, yes, but you need to give her some breathing room 💀

IMO, I think since there main component is lemon, which are naturally just sour and bitter, the lemongrabs are meant to be this way and changing them just to "fit in" would be in a way "disrespectful".

I would think its more like bubble gum trying to preserve their nature, shes more like a god, and these subjects are like the people she made with flaws and all. I think what she's trying to do is give them authority, but those lemon leaders had an error where they were stuck with the process of creating other subjects but not thinking about food and necessity. I dont know why she wouldnt just create subjects that are just loyal that do only good, but I think its because she doesnt want them to be robots, and that she wants a society.
