i am constantly in a push and pull between both sides — some days i feel like what i say and do matters and i try to be more environmentally conscious, other days i feel like **** it everything’s going to $hxt 😭😭😭

My family reuses cooking oil that doesn't stink or hasn't turned dark yet. Main reason we do this is due to the fact that cooking oil can be expensive in my country but it also reduces the amount of oil we discard overall. However, I found out that this is actually unhealthy so I don't do it as often anymore.

I try to recycle whenever I can and pick up and bag after my dog's business for the environment :)

When I cut veggies and meat I always save the scraps and use them to make stock/broth to get another use out of them before they get thrown away

Hahahahahahahaha lol wow what a pendulum

AyChristene

Wait is it unhealthy? Cause I recently did that for the first time. Cause we don’t fry things often so I filter and reuse it

AyChristene

Thank you for not being one of those heffas that let your dog poop everywhere and just leave it

It's still ok to reuse oil but there's a max limit (some say 2 times, some say 4) and it should be always filtered first but yes, it's unhealthy if we're going to be technical. In a nutshell, the more times the oil is heated and the higher the cooking temp is, the more the oil breaks down into unhealthy stuff.
