Another bullshit elimination for a black character agh 😭

Couple things of how I thought of this episode, Jasmine was my number one pick throughout this whole season cause I thought she was an interesting and unique character, she’s from Australia, and I felt like she carried Pakitew island, her getting eliminated definitely sucks but I honestly thought it was creative how it took a literal tree to eliminate her from the game( considering how tall people are normally being compared to trees🌲 ) and Jasmine we know you strong but why did you decide to walk with the tree when you could of just THROW IT OFF YOU AND ZOOM PASS SUGAR?!😭😭 Also I would agree with Shawn TO AN EXTENT because I signed up to be on the show to win the WHOLE million, I didn’t sign up to find love, buuuut in Shawn’s case he ended having feelings for Jasmine so in a way he shot himself in the foot low key🤷🏾‍♂️ and l’ll also say Jasmine let her guard down thinking that since her and Shawn are a pair she instantly thought he would be down to split it, and who knows Shawn probably would of had time to help Jasmine from falling off the cliff, now who I root for to win the whole thing? I honestly want Sky to win it cause as a fellow athlete I find a lot of her pride in competing to be relatable( Well in sports atleast😅), like I said in the pass Shawn annoys me with his delusions of Zombies and Sugar may be funny but she mainly gets on my nerves so that’s why I’m not rooting for neither of them two😑😑

There's just so many problems with this season. Pretty much every character in this season don't feel like 'teenagers' they feel like cartoon characters. Which I know they are but Total Drama in the previous seasons made characters based on teenagers which is why I like TD, so to shift to this was uncanny. Also here's a fact All Stars and Pahkitew were once going to be 1 season, or atleast Pahkitew was never going to exist and All Stars was gonna get 26 episodes like a normal Total Drama season but later they decided to split it up into 2 seasons with 13 episodes which is why All Stars is called season 5A and Pakitew is called 5B. I wish they didn't do this because the lack of episodes sours these seasons with how rushed everything is. Another reason why I dislike this season is the poor character writing overall. It feels like nothing happens much between story arcs like Sammy getting voted out after being in ONE episode after she got revenge on her sister when they could've played around with it more. Scarlett's villain arc was heavily rushed when it had so much potential, Ella was just getting bullied by Sugar the entire time with no resolution other than her getting to sing again. Then we have stupid eliminations like Jasmine. Sky-AKA Zoe 2.0, is boring af and I prefer actual Zoe. I'm only rooting for Shawn since I do like him and his gimmick of zombies was the only thing that felt natural and useful enough. And lastly my biggest offender of this season is there is no actual antagonist. In TDI we got Heather who was the the OG and the best we've got in an antagonist as well as another Latino man. In Action we had Courtney, in World Tour we had Alejandro, in Revenge of The island we had Scott, and in All Stars we had Mal. Even if some of the ones I've listed aren't that good at antagonist, ateast they tried to give us one per season which is what I can't say for this one. Max and Scarlett entire evil thing felt less about them doing evil things to other people to get them eliminated like the previous antagonist and just more like slapstick to prove who is more evil. Amy is just one note since she just hates her sister for legit no reason lmao, and Sugar just sucks if she is an attempt as antagonist. Yeah Sugar definitely is not nice or a team player but she hardly count for me because she hasn't really been doing anything malicious towards her or the other team. When you don't have an antagonist in the season it feels boring. It's why I enjoy World Tour so much since it's the ultimate antagonists going at with with eachother which was entertaining to watch and maybe I just prefer good antagonist in a season but it is what it is lol.

Also I high key felt nostalgic when they played “Justin’s soundtrack” this episode, now how I feel about how some of the other black characters being written, STILL TO THIS DAY Leshawna’s season 1 elimination is the worst hands down(Sure it’s just a cartoon, a lot of it doesn’t REALLY supposed to make since but from a older viewers perspective as in view of writing it, STILL👎🏾) I’ll even put her Season 3 elimination at number 2 cause that made ZERO SENSE( Writers👀….Dj I’m looking at you too bro😑), my opinion in Cameron sharing his money to EVERYONE is two sided cause one side of me agrees that if he is going to share it just share it with just Mike and Zoe ,those were your ride or dies, but the other side of me is like “Cam is smart but he’s definitely the type to show lack of judgement and even gullible at times( Scott and Jo made HEAVY examples of that with him😬😬)” so I could also see why he would want to split it✋🏾👀🤚🏾, so going back to Jasmine I genuinely believe Jasmine’s elimination was the best written or most decent out of all black players who been eliminated( from season 1 too Pakitew atleast) but thats just me🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

I definitely agree about Sugar, the writers seem to go a different route in making an antagonist and practically said “What would we do if we combine Owen and Heather and make one character and her name would be Sugar?” 😭😂

GSD

At least Jasmine didn’t try to help Sugar.

I like Jasmine I think she was the best written black character so far. I'm not mad about the stereotypes this show portrays as it comes after everyone, dumb blondes, home school the quiet kid etc. And takes it to the extreme levels. When a show or a movie makes fun of everyone like Ghost Stories I can get behind it.

Anthony

Lowkey I’m positive the creator just loves Owen cuz he is somewhat referenced or someone acts the same in every season that he’s not in

Jasmine's in my top three this season and I like her better than both Shawn and Sky, but this was a fair time for her to go imo.
