I love Isabella I felt like she was written well and is a good example of complex villains she wasn’t truly evil she found out what happened and tried to escape. She is Emma Ray and Norman combined but SHE didn’t have her Ray and Norman to help her. She just wanted to survive and she truly did love the kids with her whole heart just the fucked up world they are in forced her to make that choice to either live or die and be eaten For season 2 I will say almost the whole fandom dropped it due to them rushing it and cutting about 100 chapters out of the manga. It is common for anime to cut stuff but they did cut a lot of content especially one of the fan favorite arcs that did good development for Emma and the narrative and is the turning point of the story it even cuts out characters tha you meet in the manga but names are shown and mentioned in later eps and there is a villian who is entirely cut out. Not gonna talk about the ending but yeah a lot of fans act like the season doesn’t exist because of what they did. Now ofc don’t make this discourage you from continuing it just like total drama ride the season out and form your own view on it after just wanted to say what to expect and what happened during airing

Top tier anime, this season is sooo good. Dont watch the rest though they dont finish it and they skipped content for some reason, reading is 10x better. Great journey watching this with you!

Sadly they super botched the second season by sticking like 5 seasons worth of content from the manga into 12 episodes but! The manga is great and follows up in interesting ways.

I didn't get to watch Season 2 and kinda just forgot about it cuz life be lifing. Judging from online sentiment though, I'm scared about the exact reasons behind the criticism cuz this show had a pretty good following when it first came out and for all that to just be negated is kinda shocking.
