Earlier magic Man and her did an experiment but it went wrong and she took all his magic powers and his madness And before that she said that she was going to do everything in her power to relieve this curse on Simon

Magic man and Betty did an experiment to bring Magic man’s wife back things happened and it didn’t work out well and Betty dove into the deep end forgetting her floaties which is a metaphor for how Betty jumped into the deep end of magic because of the sadness and madness caused by her drive to cure Simon along with having no way to protect her from the harm of the magic(water) aka floaties and since the experment failed she also ended up getting Magic man’s powers. At the end Betty sees Simon as a crab mouthing the words “You forgot your floaties” which is telling her that she is now in over her head and will drown in a pool of sadness and madness Anyone’s pls correct or add on if I got stuff wrong
