Also the reason Twilight took the hat is to show if you want to be the lead. You have to investigate and get clues and not automatically blame. When pinkie decided to investigate and look for clues instead of automatically blaming she earned that hat back. Since the show is for kids it’s to teach them not to jump to conclusions before finding evidence.
