The Apothecary Diaries S1 E1 "Maomao" | Full Reaction (Patreon)

SHE GOT KIDNAPPED AND SOMEHOW ENDED UP SOLVING A MEDICAL MYSTERY?! 😭🌿

We're starting The Apothecary Diaries Season 1 Episode 1, "Maomao!"

Meet Maomao, a young apothecary who gets kidnapped and sold into service at the Imperial Palace.

Which is already a TERRIBLE situation.

But instead of drawing attention to herself, Maomao has one goal:

Keep her head down, finish her time at the palace, and GO HOME. 😂

There's just one problem…

Maomao is WAY too smart and WAY too curious for that.

When the Emperor's infant children mysteriously become ill, rumors begin spreading about some kind of curse. But Maomao's knowledge of medicine, herbs, and poisons tells her something else might be happening.

And once she secretly tries to help?

She catches the attention of Jinshi. 👀

Maomao is already SUCH an interesting main character. She's intelligent, observant, blunt, and apparently WAY more excited about poison than any normal person should be. 😂

I have a feeling trying to remain unnoticed in this palace is NOT going to work out for her.

Come hang out with me as I start a brand-new series with my full reaction to The Apothecary Diaries S1 E1: Maomao!
