How are all my Wugs doing?!?! π€
July is here, which means things are heating up in Texas. So, you can probably find your favorite gals and their goblin in the nearest body of water for the next 2 months when we are not recording or rehearsing πββοΈ
We just had an INCREDIBLE weekend doing our first live show of 2026 as a part of the Homebrew Austin festival. Thank you to all the wugs who joined us for the show and to all the new wugs we met along the way! If you missed out on this show, NEVER FEAR. . . because there might be more live shows announced in the near future. . . approximately 3 of them before the end of the year if all my evil plans come to fruition. . . and one of them is going to be NOT in Texas. . .only time will reveal these things. . . or if you're in Big P's Posse, I told you where and when the shows would be in the letters I wrote. So start saving up those wug bucksβ’οΈ and we'll see you at our next live show! π (P.S. we mailed out all of the Big P's Posse letters last night for this quarter, so be on the lookout for those)
This live show was very special to us for TWO reasons:
#1 - Jared finally got to take the stage with us and resume his rightful seat at the Goblin Master table!! And he did a PHENOMENAL job!!
#2 - We added live improvised musicians to the show! Ritika, our musical genius friend, was on the keys and Colt, percussionist extraordinaire and Lilly's husband, was on the electric drums.
Not only did the musicians improvise music and sound effects during the entire show, they also were able to play the G&G intro theme music for us at the start of the show! Hearing it played live for the first time was absolutely incredible. Please enjoy this unedited POV clip of us hearing it in rehearsal!
In addition to our live shows, we have been COOKING with our recent main campaign episodes! Due to our busy summer schedule, we are not super far ahead on main episode recordings, so it's super fun to see everyone's reactions to each episode since we are only about 2 episodes ahead of you in terms of recording. For reference, I usually like us to be about 4 episodes ahead at all times because it gives us more wiggle room for unexpected schedule conflicts or breaks when we need them. For those interested in a little behind-the-scenes peak at our recording schedule, we will record episode #83 this Friday and have episodes #84-#86 all recorded by the beginning of August! We're stockpiling up the episodes, because we'll go a few weeks without recording while we open our Shakespeare show in August in Austin.
Also, a strange boy in a newsie cap told me that there might be some Blades in the Dark recordings happening this summer . . . but I don't know if we should trust a boy in a newsie cap π. . . so do with that info what you will!
Before we part, I must know, what is your favorite thing to do to beat the summer heat? 100 degree days are about to become our norm in Texas, so we could use all the ideas we can get. βοΈ Stay cool this summer, Wugs! We appreciate you all more than you could ever know!!
~ XOXO, your favorite Gal, Olivia
