The Progression of Korra (Patreon)

Just think prior to 2015 Korra SR7 launched Korra in chains and was a premier Korra fan artist online. Today those images are iconic and lead to what was BoB. After to long a wait, but arguably well worth it we're finally getting BoB2 off the ground. And you can tell just in the art that SR7 is pouring everything he has into this. We're beyond excited to bring this project to life, after this many iterations. Seriously each one of these Korra's represents an attempt to work on BoB2 over the years. It's been something we have been planning for a long time, and just look forward to getting it out to you all. We have a bunch of character art to share in the coming weeks, so stay tuned. We want to thank all of you for sticking it out with us, we really appreciate it.Gunsmoke Games.

Great....just another project that they start that distracts them even more and don't finish anything...yay...im pretty sure SU will never get finished. Nor anything else. I mean...they've only been working on it for like a decade almost...why would they bother to finish it? Honestly, im at the point. Im just going to stop giving them money. Why should we? I might come back in 5 years they still won't have anything finished.

Yeah they should have finished PE before working on something else. I don’t trust them they will deliver a completed BoB2 even if it’s a “smaller” game (remember when they said that about PE?).

Bend or Break. It’s a Flash game made by SR7 before SU and Gunsmoke games were a thing. It takes the abduction episode from Legend of Korra S1 and builds a sex game on it. Bend or Break 2 is a sequel they started about seven years ago, but never made any real content for. It fell behind in favor of SU until they all but forgot about it.

Yeah man. Im done. Im just done. I just canceled my membership. I have lost all faith in them to finish anything. I joined for SU. There hasn't been any real progress on it in well over a year. They've opened 2 new projects. And over and over again they've proven a total lack of focus, follow through, or listening to others. Im over it.

They will almost certainly be doing versions, I’d guess, they’re not gonna complete that game overnight. Which is fine, I wouldn’t want them to rush it, or completely neglect EVO and SU the way they have been this game. As long as there’s SOME substantial update on BoB before they continue with the flagship game, I’m happy.

That kinda is the thing HotDog, seeing how the last two PE updates came out, I don’t think we are getting a substantial update for BoB2 (hopefully they shut me up with a good update instead of more excuses).

Um, excuse you. They started BoB before ANY of these games, and BoB2 started long before EVO. THIS is the game that’s been sidelined the most by this team and needs attention the most. At least SU HAS a substantial wealth of content, despite being unfinished, BoB2 has barely anything after SEVEN YEARS.

I wish I had that optimism but that last EVO update was so bad that I don’t fully trust them and their lack of any sincere plan of work is very concerning but as I said hopefully they make me look dumb by actually delivering something great.

I'd like to know more about how BoB is going to fit into their work schedule as they upgrade to having 3 active game projects. I'm glad they have enthusiasm for the BoB, and that is something I would never want to minimize or take away, but it took over half a year to get an update on PE that had less content than they planned, in part because they had to return to SU first. At 3 projects, just how long is their update schedule and will the people who are here for just one of them stick around for that long? How big is BoB? How do they plan to balance the workload? Will content updates be smaller? Will they bring on more people to share the load? They just upended everything by starting PE and now their adding BoB. More info please.

As much as I like EVO, in my opinion that one IS the distraction game here, not BoB2.

From their streams there is no work schedule, they’re working on whatever they feel like at the time, their current “plan” (if you can call it that) is to work on BoB2 then see what they feel like working then. I don’t think roadmaps are a bad thing that could cause burnout but they seem to think that way. They just told a guy on Discord that he can not subscribe and just subscribe when a project that interests him is available but like I said there is no way to know what project there are working at any given time. They do plan 2-3 month schedule but like think about this, say BoB2 comes out and then they move to PE making SU fans wait around 8 months for something with no guarantees. Or the other way around working on SU next and PE fans have to wait. Just terrible project management, wouldn’t expect them to answer, they hate us patreons over here.

Bend or Break 2 had spent seven years as a broken game about chasing Korra around in circles begging her to let you hypnotize her. A Nagging Simulator, not a sex game. Seven years, for them to even turn their attention BACK to BoB2, and PE already has more content than Korra had in all that time. I’ve watched them ignore BoB2 in favor of SU in all that time, and they even started up an X-men Evolution game instead.

Harsh but true. It's that whole you can bring a horse to water but can't make it drink sort of thing. I subscribed a few times for projects that were talked about but never finished like the Raven X Starfire comic. I think it's mostly the fact that they just get really board when they work on the same thing for too long but sometimes you just have to do those. Tackle a project and fight with it till it's finished or go at it little by little. On the other hand I'm sure everyone is thankful all this stuff exists in the first place so my statement rains true. Harsh! But True...

Love to see new content, I know how hard it is to pour energy into one thing for a massive length of time! Hot take but I think bobbed Korra looks way better than ponytail Korra, hopefully we get some styling options in the new game (and some dialogue to reflect it lol)! Love you guys

I get that you like BoB2 and want updates. But it kind of proves the point. They project hop and finish nothing. They expand areas of SU without ever finishing any of them. Then added PE, and it's nowhere close to being done, and now they are jumping to BoB2. Regardless of what you like, their shotgun project management style is atrocious. Fast forward 3 years from now. Will SU be really much more complete or less of a mess probably not at 2-3 updates a year. Will BoB2 be anywhere near complete or even half way done? No way. What about PE? Maybe close to done...but I doubt it. My point is they just jump around with lots of promises and leave it unfinished and no where near what they stated before jumping to something else.

Completion would be nice, but I’m not holding out much hope for that yet. If all they did was give it a satisfying game loop with some meat on it, and doesn’t consist solely of chasing Korra from room to room and accomplishing nothing, I’d be happy. This is the game I’ve been holding out for, too.

DO they project hop? Because this is the first time they’ve hopped onto BoB2 since the first drop, seven years ago. If you ask me, they don’t hop enough. Hopping would imply they made a little progress on more than one project at a time, but before PE the only project that got attention WAS su.

We announce what we're working on well before it gets released. We're just not telling you what we will be working on in November now. Joss being upset is fine, and I can understand why you would be. But what I don't get is saying we hate patrons. That's not correct.

The reason why I think that is that on 2025 you guys were all active on here putting out posts and answering comments however in 2026 you guys decided another approach leaving us in the dark, we had to find out through Discord that EVO was having dev problems instead of here, we barely get posts now, let alone comments answering and calming the waters. I’m sorry if I’m being too mean I support you guys but it does get frustrating seeing the way you are handling stuff, it’s like seeing so much potential and not fully taking it. I myself don’t mind multiple projects but the way they’re being handled leaves a lot to be desired.

So many people in here bitching and moaning when there literally is an option to unsubscribe until the next update that you want. It's not a big deal to do so, why is it so hard for y'all? Like I get it a bit more if you did the yearly subscription, but honestly with how much of a transition period GSG is in with the Ren'py remake and whatnot, if you committed to a yearly but haven't been paying attention to the fact that they're still trying to reorganize, that's on you lol. Also GSG is *not* just SU, so stop acting like it is. Most people (at least I'd like to think) are here for SR7's art above all else, and a lot of people *do* want BoB2 if they've been here for very long.

They don't give dates out this quickly but I don't expect it to take longer than the latest Project Evolution update, because they won't get bogged down in the technical stuff with this like they did with PE. My assumption is probably a late August target, but that's just me guessing based on how long these things usually take

2015 and 2026 are tied at the best for me, 26 might squeeze a win due to detail, but I like the body proportions of those the most.

I am really all for Bob 2. I was really sad that it was stuck in development hell, but I can understand why a lot of people are unhappy. The last update clearly made a lot of people on here unhappy/mad. It's very clear, that it doesn't work like they are doing things now. The long waiting time between is not worth it. The Communication on here is horrible this year. The Townhall was not announced on here like it was before. The problems with development have been shared on here by you, when I remember correctly. A lot of things were said but just a few actions were actually made. Now you don't have words or actions. It doesn't help that Smokeshank doesn't seem to answer questions on here like he did before. Having stuff on discord is nice, but its clear they need to inform people on here as well. It can't be that you are the one person that answers most questions here or discord.

About SU: I think Su is a huge part why people are here. It doesn't help that there is no conformation when its coming back. You and GSG might not like it, but GSG is in a lot of peoples minds just SU and everything else is extra. It's been like that for nearly a decade at this point. You can't expect people to accept the change in a year. Even when they said they were doing new games, people were vocal that they dont really like the change .SU might be bigger than GSG them self at this point (I know it sounds stupid). All that made people kinda miserable on here. Even people like you, that are ok with most of the things they do, seem miserable because you try to defend or mediate for them. Both sides are valid this time.  I think they themselves (GSG) don't really know what the problem right now is. It's very clear that the new way of working doesn't seem to work, but they can't find out a new one without completely messing up, that's why they are going back to easier (Su formular) games.

I think it’s more like bumit said, it’s okay for people to have a different opinion to what’s been going on and to disagree with the team, it’s an open space to talk.

I've been wanting BoB2 for YEARS! But honestly... it should already be 100% finished. That's what you guys promised when you said it would be fully finished and released back in 2024. 2 years later and it's (from the sounds of things) only gonna be a "build" that you'll work on over time. Come on guys. Also I'm not sure if I'm alone or not... but 2021 Korra it like at least 10 times better and more accurate looking then 2026 Korra. You kinda dropped the ball completely when it comes to the new artstyle. Dosen't really match how the show looked and it don't even match Sunset's art. Also it's something you do in like all your games now... but can we start sizing down the girls tits. I mean... if some characters have big once, sure. But everyone having balloon tits? Nah

2026 seems like a downgrade compared to 2021. Hopefully that's not the final model for her. It looks worse than anything in PE.

I'd say 2021 Korra is the best but I REALLY REALLY dont think BOB2 is the right way to go right now i know its been sitting idle for a long time but people are here PAYING for SU and and even PE which they can barely do well enough to warrant any money at all please Gunsmoke focus on what people actually want finish what you start and then move on to something new dont start a whole bunch of things and abandon them as you get bored.

Look, I don't disagree with the fact that people like me, Shagrat, etc. shouldn't be the ones doing the PR for them lol. They absolutely need to do a better job in making sure updates are posted and patrons are more informed. How they would do that I'm not entirely sure, because the updates they give on Discord really aren't long enough to warrant a full Patreon post and pinging everyone. But at the same time, people on here are still asking for shit that they've already answered a thousand times over and just don't like the answer, so they're shouting into the ether wanting a different answer. Either that or they're not looking hard enough. Also to note on the "most people" thing, I clearly articulated "at least I'd like to think" and it's informed by how the Town Hall went, because people overwhelmingly were much more accepting and understanding of the dev team on there than they have been on here. The silent people who are okay with things don't voice their opinions, and the loud people who are angry voice that anger.

No! They don't even know what they are doing after Bob 2. The Original plan was to get a new game out after 4 months. PE took 5-6 months for the first build. People seem very vocal on here that they want a Su Update, so you might not get more for PE this year.

Your own argument could be applied the other way around. People on here didn't know when the Townhall was, because it was not announced here. How could they voice their anger when they didn't know about the Townhall. How many people were at the Town hall ? Was it a majority or just a present minority. The majority of voiced opinions on Patreon is that its not working. To simply say that it's just a vocal minority is not healthy for the community nor is it fair. Its also worth mentioning that GSG (Smokeshanks at least) knows that silent patrons are voicing their concerns on different sites. It's very clear that the people on Discord and Patreon are 2 different type of groups. Not everyone can or want to use Discord. Why is the only summary of the Town hall on Discord from you and not, like it was before, on here by GSG? Yes most are silent, but it doesn't erase the valid criticism GSG gets. It's the same criticism that was voiced when they announced PE. Back then GSG was just better at appeasing patrons.

Idk what you want me to say, the Town Hall was filled with people, but yeah they didn't announce it on here which was odd. Also SR7 said the audio he was recording of it was corrupted, so that's why it wasn't posted. And what if it is just a vocal minority? You cannot say it isn't either, we don't have access to their data lol. While yes some of the criticism on communication is valid, and they absolutely can communicate better, but I'm pretty sure the people that criticize on here are STILL not going to like what they'd hear. I'm sorry but most of the valid criticism (which IS a very small amount in my book) on here is drowned out by what can be summed up as "WAAAH SU NOW! WAAAAH! STOP DOING WHAT I DON'T WANT" which isn't actual criticism, it's just not liking the direction they're going in. Yeah there are some actual valid concerns with them taking on multiple projects, but other creators are able to balance it just fine once they find the groove they need to, and GSG will find that groove eventually, especially once they finish the Ren'py remake. Until then it's gonna be slightly painful, and I think people should just unsubscribe if they're worried about wasting their money Also what's "valid" to you in general is going to differ from what's valid to me, so I really don't think there's a point to this discussion either haha

Like I said it's not good to just disregard them because YOU/GSG don't like what they say. I never claimed it's the MAJORITY that is vocal, but I don't know how long you support them. I support them on and off, for a long time now, and It's never been this BAD. Even after the last Unity and Halloween update, it wasn't that bad. What's so bad in not liking the direction they are taking? People became invested in the Game. How would you feel when you invest/support a Game for years and the creator put it on pause without saying when its back. And I don't mean a small update. The system they have now is not working. Why would you add things to something that is not working? It will just delay everything more. I remember the last time small in-between updates where promised: They never came. (If you don't know the Temple of Aphrodite stuff was supposed to come out 2024). It doesn't help that they say they want to get back to SU and when they can go back they don't. These people can voice it how they want, just like you and I did. Do I like how they do it? No. Do I understand it? Yes. There is a lot more to critic about how they run the Patreon. But you are right we don't seem to be on the same page, which is sad because we want the same thing. Let's just hope BoB 2 doesn't have any problems. It would be even more disappointing than PE because I have been waiting for years, sadly I don't have really trusted that GSG can deliver anything that is worth the wait these days.

Yeah I share that last sentiment Bumit, I really doubt BoB2 because it is going to be an initial build of a game, let’s see how the manage the quality/quantity portion as that will decide stuff, following a lackluster EVO update with a “foundations established” first build of BoB2 is going to cause more controversy. To end things up I think half the backlash wouldn’t exist if they jumped to SU before BoB2 or if they bite the bullet and just say it straight up that SU is the game after BoB2.

Joss it’s hard to say whether the BoB2 build will only be an initial build or not, but for what it’s worth, SR7 did point out on the Town Hall that PE has like 30 characters and BoB2 will have like 8 or something. So there’s a lot of fluff in PE whereas BoB2 mostly (or almost solely) focuses on the girls. Or at least that’s how it came off. So hopefully this will be nothing but good content

You have to be working on a game to be a developer. These clowns have been supposedly working on 3 different games over the course of the past 18 months, promised an SU update "in a few weeks" back in January and have nothing to show for it. These aren't developers, they're grifters.

I think it’s all this lean stuff they keep talking about where they think they can do a bunch of different projects at the same time but they all kind of suck SU is the only good one and they keep putting it on the back burner they could merge this X-Men thing right into SU and it would be a lot better

Dude I just realized, was the last update to SU (that being 2.4.8) seriously in Dec 2024? I get that the side areas have been added but like, thats kinda crazy the base game hasn't been updated in getting close to 2 years now. I wish they would finish out the Wonder Woman in the medival castle area thing with the one comic scene from sunstriders one comic. Or add some new girls/outfits or scene types to the base game.

They’re probably waiting on the remake as adding stuff to the base game on Unity caused a ton of bugs, however with the current state of affairs who knows when that would be, we’ll probably have to be thankful if we get SU this year.

I think the new Overhaul looks fantastic, Although i do prefer the korra from 2021. I think its the new face shape that throws me off, doesnt really look like her as much. I think Asami maybe has the same problem, where the face looks slightly too round because of the pointy chin. The other characters look fantastic, especially Katara.
