That's the first cour done! As for where Misaka's coins go? Probably most of them melt and turn into droplets which then solidify into small metal fragments which have a low mass to drag ratio and won't carry much energy to any targets, if they are fired into the air. If they're fired at something like the core in this episode the energy goes to break that thing, and then the fragments will have less kinetic energy. But yeah, she does have to watch her fire with regards to what's behind her target.
