Hi Bisscute 😊 from San Antonio Texas USA 😊 I was not aware that they made a film regarding this incident with BP in the Gulf of Mexico so it will be interesting to see what the take of Hollywood has. Usually the liberal filmmakers slant too heavily in one direction and in this case the environmental issues that the oil leak would have on the delicate balance at the mouth of the Mississippi River where a lot of the seafood is gathered. I do remember watching the camera that was positioned where the leak was on a daily basis to see how the crews were attempting to patch the pipe. I look forward to watching this with you. Since I know the story very well I will not need to see the actual footage of the film just the dialogue and then your response. I will report back with my comments after viewing the film. Thank you for all your hard work and I appreciate you so very much. Have a great day and God bless you with much love and prayers for strength and good health bye-bye 😊👍💪❤️✅

Hi Bisscute 😊 from San Antonio Texas USA 😊 This was a very accurate and fair portrayal of what happened on the oil rig. That is what I was watching for and they did a very good job. Thank you for re-upping this movie in its entirety and seeing your full reaction as the remaining truncated version is still on YouTube and this gives better context. I will stop here because when you released it to YouTube you received a lot technical support and understanding as to how the operation worked. Thank you for all your hard work and I appreciate you so very much. Have a great day and God bless you with much love and prayers for strength and good health bye-bye 😊👍💪❤️✅

Hi Bisscute 😊 from San Antonio Texas USA 😊 I just went over to YouTube Bissflix and there is no truncated version of your reaction to Deepwater Horizon. I'm thankful that this version on Patreon exists. Thoughts I had before I will now present.... Wonderful reaction and analysis and commentary. Watching the movie as you did pick up on a lot of the technical and terminology of working on an oil rig. You also picked up very early the fact that BP was more interested in profits than safety. When the CEO is called before Congress in Washington DC and would not answer the question of why the three alarms did not go off... Guilty. You asked about wages... Oil rig worker wages vary significantly by role, experience, and location (offshore pays more), with entry-level roughnecks starting around $50k-$70k/year, while skilled drillers and engineers can earn well over $100k-$200k+ annually, often with overtime, benefits like room/board, and bonuses, with some senior roles exceeding $250k, reflecting the hazardous, demanding environment. Typical Wage Ranges by Position Roughneck/Floorman: $24 - $34/hour or $50,000 – $70,000/year (entry-level) Derrickhand/Driller: $26 - $46/hour or $55,000 – $95,000/year (often higher with experience) Mechanic/Electrician: Around $160 - $250/day or $200 - $250/day, respectively (contract rates) Drilling Engineer: $96,000 – $224,000/year Toolpusher (Supervisor): $120,000 – $175,000/year Factors Influencing Pay Experience & Skill: Senior roles and specialized skills command higher salaries. Location: Offshore rigs pay more due to harsher conditions; remote or dangerous locations offer premiums. Overtime: Significant overtime is common, boosting overall earnings. Benefits: Offshore jobs often include free accommodation, food, and travel, significantly increasing savings potential. Bonuses: Performance and safety bonuses are sometimes offered.  Key Takeaway While entry-level roles offer solid wages, the real earning potential for oil rig workers comes with experience, specialized skills, and working in challenging offshore environments, allowing many to save substantial amounts due to provided living expenses.  The nearest Coast Guard station is 46 km away. Let's just say that in Texas and Louisiana BP left a very bad taste in our mouth. Here is a very good investigative report... https://youtu.be/NzrGZCJojUE?si=mL4jA4sRmr5_YjqG Here's another investigative report... https://youtu.be/XkGOukBrqgs?si=CnEvEsIwjVWAZ70L Here is a very good write-up of the incident and also the ongoing legal battle that ensued.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deepwater_Horizon I think that's enough... I'll let you continue to do your own research at your leisure as there is more under "Deepwater Horizon" on YouTube. Thank you for all your hard work and I appreciate you so very much. Have a great day and God bless you with much love and prayers for strength and good health bye-bye 😊👍💪❤️✅
