Jaws is good but nowhere near as good as the other 4 movies

If you want to talk about dated practical effects, Jaws is a very good example of that, unless she's willing to overlook that for a "classic" movie. So, I would think the other four are better for her, at least.

I sorry but people need to stop focusing on special effects and start paying attention to the story and the acting. Anyone who compares a 20-50 year old movie based on the special effects to those of John wick or the Marvel movies, is a moron. It is not about the effects. It about how the movie makes you feel, how it affects you and moves you. Reactors who say the special effects a 20+ year old movie look terrible come off as spoiled children. But if it weren't for those crappy effects there wouldn't be the effects we have today. So get over it.

Jaws is an absolute classic. Robert Shaw's performance, alone, makes it worth watching... but I voted for 12 Angry Men.

You are right and i did indeed vote for it, even though i actually suggested the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly in the orginal poll. It's not that Jaws isn't a classic, it is. But when most people think classic movies they think from the 30's to the 60's. Something at least 50 years old. Jaws is actually considered one of the original blockbuster.
