Does the image mean you can get Cassandra instead when you go to the meeting?

That's right. If you decide not to call the phone number with Daphne and Valerie (and you have the note), the MC will go see Cassandra and ask her to make the call instead.

Personally, I think Cassandra lost some points by not being a widow (now we can expect more drama in the future 😅). However, it's true that Mango makes her look younger with each new version, and she becomes more tempting each time. Besides, she and Beth are among the few who know what they want and go for it 💘😮💖.

Hey Picker! Well, Cass is using the same model she always has... I guess it might have something to do with how we light scenes nowadays? Maybe? 🤔😅 I understand where you're coming from, though, and I think it's a valuable perspective to hear because it gives me a chance to explain a little more about how we approach the game. The truth is that, as contradictory as it might sound for this kind of game, some characters aren't necessarily written to be likable. It's up to the player whether they eventually become that way, stay where they are... or end up somewhere even worse. Who knows? Cass is a morally questionable character. Even setting aside her affair with the MC (which obviously isn't something I condone in real life), she can be manipulative, hypocritical, and even contradicting at times. These are the kinds of traits we deliberately keep in mind when writing some characters. Thanks for always taking the time to comment!

Really? I thought you'd approve of that affair in real life 😏. Just kidding 😅! But yes, besides the fact that your characters look different, their social contexts are also different, as are their future dramas. When I saw that Cass always wants something in return and isn't even capable of giving us a simple piece of paper with a phone number on it (as if we couldn't memorise the number just by looking at it) I realised what you were saying about her. Ultimately, Daphne, who has far fewer resources, seems to want to help more. As you say, it depends on each player, but for me, each character evokes a different feeling. For example, I want to smash a vase over Stella's head and pat Paris on the head. I also feel sorry for Sayuri because she has to get by with so few resources and a disabled brother, not to mention holding down more than one job at a time. As for Beth, I have my own dark theory that I'll find out if it's true in the long run. I'll come back at the end of the month to share my thoughts on this new version 😉.

Very interesting! And that's definitely a reasonable interpretation of the situation with Cass. One of our goals from the very beginning was precisely to evoke a different feeling with each character. Likewise, every character has their own social circumstances and background that the protagonist isn't necessarily aware of from the get-go. In the end, it'll all come down to how willing the player is to dig deeper into these people's lives, for better or worse... or simply ignore them whenever possible.

I just discovered your game on Itch. After playing and finishing the update, I am amazed by the story so far, and I'm glad it's not a fuckfest game. I rushed to your Patreon and subscribed immediately. MC is great; he's a good guy but has a backbone. It also helps that he looks better than most MCs in other novels. The women are beautiful and have character; I can't wait to see more from you. Keep up the great work.

Wait, that was the whole update? You just wake up, go to the meeting to look at the painting..... and that's it? It was literally just 5-10 minutes of content lol. Am I missing something? Also why is the painting completely different from the first one we saw?

We're doing shorter updates now so we can maintain a better release schedule than before. That shopping scene only happens if you go see the painting with Valerie instead of Cassandra.
