Heya! So as you may have noticed, I’ve been having a little trouble with the writing of the latest interactive comic series “Big Bill”. It’s been trickier to come up with comics of reasonable lengths that both honor the choices you all make while setting up for a new choice, which has led to longer spans of time between uploads. Which sucks, nobody likes that.

I think maybe I went too high concept, I dunno. You win some, you lose some. And because there are rarely comments, it can be hard to judge if people are really feeling the story or not. So I’m gonna give you guys some options!

Option 1: I’m wrong and you guys are fucking loving this and need closure on Big Bill’s story. So we continue on as is, with the understanding that updates will be less frequent than with the last interactive comic series.

Option 2: you’re not loving the story, but demand closure. We get one or two more episodes serving as an epilogue, very quickly wrapping up the story, before moving on to something new.

Option 3: let’s cut our loses, and move on to a new story, but keep the same sorta structure (b&w comics every week or two focusing on one character and one narrative)

Option 4: let’s cut our loses, but try out a new interactive story format. (Not sure what exactly, but I’d brainstorm and come back with some specifics soon)

Option 5: let’s cut our loses entirely and shift the tier away from “choose your own adventure” style interactive comics and do something new each week. Sometimes a mad libs kinda thing, sometimes a very short choose your own adventure, sometimes a silly “spot the difference” comic. Silly shit like that.

UPDATE! Voting closed; it looks like we have our answer. Starting next week, I’ll be shifting the interactive comic tier to something a little new each week. Honestly it was the choice I was hoping for, so I’m excited to try it out! Stay tuned, more to come soon!

I say keep going but I’ll enjoy any option really. Great work!

See this is tricky- I love the Big Bill comic, and don’t mind waiting, but if you’re not feeling it/ struggling to come up with stuff for it, then that isn’t fun for you!

This is my inner Niche Nerd talking, but if certain stories don't present obvious scenarios, you could alalways go the Solo Table-Top RPG route and roll for something like Action and Theme on some random tables... Obviously the magic of The Other End is what comes out of your (collective) mind, but even fantastic writers need a prompt every once in a while.

I like all of it, but changing to "...completely different..." has potential for absurdly wild nonsense. So, you got that going for you, which is nice.

I’ve considered this, but I dunno I feel like random tables might be fun on my end but not particularly more interesting for the reader. That being said, I feel like next year I might introduce a new dnd themed tier with either live plays or opt in games that I dm. We’ll see!

I appreciate it! And I’m glad to hear people have been enjoying it at least

That would be fun too! I've personally only played Ironsworn: Starforged in that realm, though I've been trying to use BG3 to catapult me into DnD.
