As a southerner (not that kind) I lament the derision that grits often receive. While I grew up as a "sweet" grits southerner, as an adult I enjoy them equally whether sweet or savory. I personally believe that much of the issue people have that causes them to say " I don't like grits" and "how did you get in my kitchen?" are because they fail to properly salt them. YOU MUST PROPERLY SALT GRITS OUT THEY DON'T TASTE LIKE ANYTHING! This is less of a question than a public service announcement. Also Gary vs a biblically accurate mantis shrimp.
