I’ve been taking improv classes for about a year now, which has inspired this comic. I can respond to almost anything now.

The original idea for this was for the improviser to put “magna cum laude in improv class” on their resumé, which the interviewer finds odd. I decided that was a little too similar to the circus strongman comic we did a few weeks ago, and having her be mugged led more naturally into the escalation with the gun. Adding a bf as a sorta straight man witness character also brought us to this ending, which I liked a lot more than the original, which just climaxed with the angel bit. I still like the idea of someone putting an improv class on their resumé though. I know people do it, and depending on the job, it might genuinely applicable, but it’s still pretty funny.

The line “the fundamental pathology of a non-improviser” was heavily inspired by a response on Twitter to my buddy who was making fun of Harry Potter. The twitter guy said “the fundamental pathology of a non-harry potter reader” as part of his angry response and, man, that line has stuck with me.

Well you’ve gone to class more than me, so I think you’re the better responder person (which is what we call it, for the layman)

So can you summon an angel, too? And is it a Christian angel, or just something that looks like people imagine an angel would look?
