Possible answers: 1) his gf is of the same ancestry as he is and changes sizes too. 2) Not everything changes size as his whole body does. 3) They don't do certain things when it's his time of the month. So tom bombadil seems to function outside of human or even maiar understanding. While bugs is a rapscallion, he is clearly prone to making mistakes and bouts of anger, neither of which seems particularly tom bombadil-ish to me. Overall, I think bugs’ “trickster god”hood is way overstated; he’s basically just a rascally toon with standard toon powers (And I suspect even trickster gods would be vulnerable to the ring’s corruption)
