The stolen moon marrow was somewhere in that massive facility. Infiltrating the Fatui’s Kuuvahki Experimental Design Bureau wasn’t going to be easy but as Moonchanter of the Frostmoon Scions, Lauma had a responsibility to attend this mission personally to retrieve their stolen relic. With the Traveler by her side and recruiting Jahoda from Nefer, Lauma felt much more confident about their chances of success.

Alas their plan went awry upon entering this large room. Sandrone, Seventh of the Fatui Harbingers, had anticipated their arrival and, being the ‘refined young lady that she is’, prepared a welcoming party for them. Said party consisted of never-ending hordes of The Marionette’s combat robots rapidly cutting off their avenues of escape.

Jahoda disappeared almost immediately. Like POOF she pulled of a vanishing act with no one noticing somehow. Outnumbered and with their backs literally against the wall, Lauma instructed the Traveler to save themselves so that they could figure out a new plan. This plan worked but Lauma got overwhelmed by the mechanical army.

Defeated Lauma looked up at the smug Sandrone. For what comfort it provided, the Seventh Harbinger had no plans of killing her. Rather she needed Lauma to solve a different problem around the base. Apparently, the morale of the garrisoned soldiers was rather low and came to learn that several of the soldiers had disgusting fantasies about the tall, beautiful lady Moonchanter of the Frostmoon Scions.

Frankly it was information Sandrone would rather forget about, but the soldiers’ disgruntled mood was impeding base operations and, more importantly, were annoying her. They needed a distraction so she could have the peace and quiet to work on her precious machines.

Speaking of machines, Lauma was brought before one such contraption, a kind of rack one might find in a dungeon. Her sandals were forcibly stripped from her long feet before her ankles and wrists were strapped to it. Lauma got no answer when she demanded the device’s purpose from Sandrone, who simply ignored her as she walked past the gathering crowd so excited soldiers.

She did, however, press a big red button on a remote before returning inside. Doing so immediately activated the machine, many different metal tendrils protruded from it holding brushes and feathers causing many of the soldiers to cheer in excitement. Her laughter definitely improved moral around the base and did absolutely nothing about Sandrone’s noise complaints.
