author's note: the final chapters of Enticing are here! I can't wait for you to read it!

Alessandro's death had shattered their world, leaving it unrecognizable. The air seemed heavier, the days darker, and their once vibrant lives now felt muted and subdued. His absence loomed over them like a dark cloud, casting a shadow on everything they did.

The loss of Alessandro was a palpable presence in their lives. It was in the empty chair at the dinner table, the unoccupied space in their conversations, and the silence that hung heavy in the air. His laughter, his warmth, his very essence seemed to linger in the rooms of their home, a painful reminder of what they had lost.

For Harry and Y/N, it was as if a light had been snuffed out in their lives. Alessandro had been more than a friend—he had been family. His absence left a void that seemed impossible to fill, a ache in their hearts that refused to fade.

Grief settled over them like a heavy blanket, enveloping them in its suffocating embrace. They moved through their days in a haze, going through the motions but never truly present. The pain of his loss was a constant ache, a reminder of the fragility of life and the cruel twist of fate.

A few days after his tragic death, Alessandro's funeral took place. William and Harry had taken on the solemn task of organizing everything, knowing how shattered Alessandro's parents were by the loss. The cemetery, where his family had been laid to rest for generations, was shrouded in a somber veil of rain and grey skies.

Despite the dreary weather, the cemetery was filled with the socialites and millionaires of New York, a testament to Alessandro's impact on their lives. The crowd was large, a sea of black umbrellas and solemn faces, but amidst the somber gathering, Alessandro's friends stood out like beacons of light.

Harry and William stood staunchly by Alessandro's parents, offering silent support and comfort in the face of unimaginable grief. Y/N stood close by, her hand intertwined with Harry's, her presence a silent vow of solidarity and love.

As the ceremony unfolded, the air was heavy with grief and sorrow. Eloquent words were spoken, memories shared, and tears shed freely. Alessandro's life was celebrated with poignant stories and heartfelt tributes, each one a testament to the man he had been.

The rain continued to fall, a gentle pattering against the umbrellas and the earth, as Alessandro was laid to rest beside his ancestors. The world seemed to hold its breath, a collective sigh of sorrow echoing through the crowd.

As the last words were spoken and the final goodbyes whispered, Harry felt a deep sense of loss settle over him. Alessandro had been more than a friend—he had been a brother, a confidant, a cherished companion. His absence was a void that would never be filled.

But amidst the grief, there was a sense of unity and strength. Harry, Y/N, William, and Alessandro's parents stood together, united in their love for the man they had lost. They knew that Alessandro would live on in their hearts, his spirit a guiding light in the darkness.

William glanced over at Harry, his expression a mix of sorrow and uncertainty as they made their somber way towards the waiting cars.

"How do we move past this?" Michael's voice was heavy with grief as he held his girlfriend close, seeking some semblance of comfort amidst the heartache.

"I don't think we do, Mike," Harry replied, his voice strained with emotion. He tightened his grip on Y/N's hand, drawing strength from her presence. "I think we just... live with it. Get used to the fact that he's not here anymore."

"How are we ever supposed to go back to Italy?" Michael's voice was heavy with sorrow, "When everything will remind us of him?"

William sighed deeply, his brow furrowed in thought. "Time will tell," he replied, his voice tinged with sadness. "We'll have to take it one step at a time, I suppose."

Together, they climbed into their respective cars, each lost in their own thoughts and memories. The world seemed quieter now, the absence of Alessandro a palpable presence.

Harry and Y/N returned home, the weight of the day heavy on their shoulders. The ride back was filled with a heavy silence, the echoes of Alessandro's absence haunting the car. As they pulled into the drive and parked, they exchanged weary glances before stepping out.

The foyer of the house greeted them warmly, a familiar sight that brought a small sense of comfort. They went through their routine, slipping off their shoes, hanging up their coats, the motions almost automatic.

"I am so tired," Y/N sighed as she sank onto the couch in the living room. The day had been long, the emotions raw, and she felt drained to her core. They had spent hours at the funeral, surrounded by grief and loss, and now the weight of it all seemed to settle heavily upon her.

"Have a nap upstairs," Harry suggested gently, his eyes filled with concern as he watched her. He knew she needed rest, a moment of respite from the overwhelming sorrow that seemed to cling to them.

Harry made his way into the kitchen, seeking the comforting routine of making tea. The kettle clinked as he filled it with water, but his mind was elsewhere. There was an unease in the air that he couldn't quite shake, a nagging feeling that something was amiss.

"Did you snack on something before leaving?" Harry called out over the sound of the running water, eyeing the loaf of bread, cheese, and ham left out on the counter.

"No, I didn't," came Y/N's reply from the living room, her voice muffled by the distance.

Harry furrowed his brow, a sense of foreboding creeping over him. He glanced around the kitchen, his eyes landing on the empty spot where the house phone usually rested. It was missing.

His heart skipped a beat as realization dawned on him. The absence of the phone, the out-of-place snacks—it all pointed to one unsettling conclusion. Someone had been in their house, and they weren't alone.

A surge of adrenaline coursed through Harry as he assessed the situation. He needed to act fast, to ensure Y/N's safety. Without hesitation, he moved with purpose, his senses on high alert.

The faintest sound caught his attention, a soft shuffle coming from the hallway leading to the living room. Harry's jaw clenched, his pulse pounding in his ears. With a silent determination, he moved towards the source of the noise, his every sense on high alert.

As he rounded the corner, his eyes widened in shock. There, standing in the dim light of the living room, was a figure—a man, dressed in dark clothing, his face obscured by a hood.

The man stood there, unnoticed by Y/N, a gun held steadily in his hand. Harry's heart clenched in fear as he realized the danger that loomed behind her, unseen and unheard.

"James," Harry's voice was low and steady, a desperate attempt to divert the man's attention away from Y/N. His mind raced, searching for a way to diffuse the situation without putting her in harm's way.

James turned slowly at the sound of his name, his eyes dark and filled with a dangerous glint. The gun in his hand remained pointed at Y/N, a silent threat that hung heavy in the air.

"What are you doing here?" Harry's voice was firm, masking the fear that churned in his gut. He took a step forward, positioning himself between James and Y/N, a protective shield.

James smirked, a cruel twist of his lips that sent a shiver down Harry's spine. "Just paying a visit to make sure that you enjoyed my surprised. How was the funeral?" he replied, his voice dripping with malice.

Harry's jaw clenched, his mind racing for a way to keep Y/N safe. "You need to leave," he said, his voice firm and commanding.

But James remained unmoved, his gaze fixed on Y/N with a chilling intensity. "Not before I have a word with both of you," he said, his tone laced with a sinister edge.

Harry's heart pounded in his chest as he watched James take a step closer to Y/N, the gun still trained on her. He knew he had to act fast, to protect her at all costs.

"Y/N, don't move," Harry said, his voice barely above a whisper. He kept his eyes locked on James, willing him to back down.

But James had other plans. With a sudden movement, he reached out and grabbed Y/N by the arm, pulling her roughly towards him. She let out a gasp of surprise, her eyes widening in fear.

“Let her go!" Harry's voice was a fierce growl as he lunged forward, his instincts kicking in. He tried to stand between James and Y/N, a barrier of protection.

"I am the one that sent the men that beat you up," Harry's words were sharp, cutting through the tense silence. "I am the one that you have an issue with." Harry just needed him to lower his gun.

James' eyes narrowed, a dangerous glint flashing in them. "You think you can just send your goons after me and get away with it?" he spat, his voice filled with venom.

Harry held his ground, his gaze unwavering. "I did what I had to do to protect her," he said, his voice steady despite the adrenaline coursing through his veins.

James let out a low, menacing laugh. "Protect her? From what? From me?" he sneered, the gun still pointed at Y/N.

"From you," Harry said, his voice firm and resolute. "From the threat that you pose. Look wht you did to Alessandro"

James smiled sinisterly as he recalled the night he had sneaked into their townhouse. "I had to get the address of your new house from someone," he explained casually, as if discussing the weather. "He just got in the way and struggled."

His words sent a shiver down Y/N's spine as she stood there, caught in his grip.

"You really think you're going to get away with all of this?" Harry's voice cut through the tension, each word carrying the weight of his fury and determination.

James, standing there with a gun pointed at Y/N, smirked as he looked at Harry. "I always have, Harry," he taunted, his tone dripping with malice. "And this time won't be any different."

Harry's jaw tightened, his eyes locked on James with an intense gaze. Slowly, he began to advance towards them, his steps deliberate and purposeful.

"You've caused enough pain," Harry growled, his voice filled with controlled rage. "It ends now."

Y/N watched in stunned silence, her heart pounding in her chest. She could feel the tension crackling in the air, the weight of the situation heavy on her shoulders.

"Harry, be careful," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

But Harry was already moving, his body a blur of motion.
