On August 10, an earthquake hit Manizales, Colombia, and my cousin’s apartment was affected. We’ve been trying to find a safe place for her, Zeus (her dog), and Miau (her cat) to stay, and we finally found an apartment that would work for them for the time being.

We were able to put down the initial deposit, so we thought we had finally gotten through the hardest part. Unfortunately, the landlord has now offered us a different payment arrangement, and we have until Wednesday to raise enough for the first two months of rent because someone else is also interested in the apartment.

So, I’m trying everything I can to help her get there.

This is the damage that the earthquake left.

This is my cousin. She is the closest thing I have to a sister, and she means the world to me. And these are Zeus and Miau, her babies. We're trying to make sure all three of them have somewhere safe to call home.
