To be clear, I feel I can write a decent story with or without Sabah. However, I'm somewhat conflicted in what I want for her going forward.

This question isn't "Does it make canonical sense for her to trigger?" The answer isn't important. Don't worry about logical progression, just think about what you think might make for a more entertaining story.

I forget, in this story do you have Sabah working on fashion design before her trigger? Because if so, I'd have her trigger with her canon powers. If not, it'd be interesting to see her trigger pinging off Amy, and have her powers take on a more biological bent. Really lean into the whole "skin controller" thing. She could be a leather-only fashion designer, or something. Oh my god, Cowboy Sabah. I now need this in my life. That, or biker Sabah, I can't decide which would be better.

Fabled Webs

She's switched majors very recently, yes. Sierra told Bryce about it and it's part of what kickstarted this little piece.

Sabah has been, from the very start, has a biological bent on her power. Her power is to control lightweight material, in which porous one is easier and can retain her 'enchantment' better. She's using cloth to control dolls is actually a non-optimal power application. Since Wildbow has shown, in Ward, that by using people's skin and knitting hair from dead people, she managed to tank attack from a Titan. So, yeah... If she's more ruthless, she could technically just flay people and uses it as "Dragon Teeth Warrior", or maybe even as a discount Guyver Bio-Boosted Armor. Since the outer layer of skin is made up of dead cells, it's entirely possible for her to go that way. That would be uber horrifying, though.

I'd say give her her powers or a SLIGHT variation but have her trigger from something else since I assume your going to have her dad be saved. Maybe that passive aggressive asshole of a TA stalks her and jumps her in an alley and she triggers right as she's saved? My two cents anyhow.

Cody Adam Carroll

You gave patrons too much power with the last option. LoL.

Ramzawing04

It depends on what you plan for her in the story, if she has an important role you can have her trigger with a variant or not, if she doesn't have one makes that she doesn't trigger and work with the butterfly effect~

dark_helmet9

Canon powers and joins creeds team somehow because two words Germa fibers

Grimm

The thing is, even if you help her father, there is still the stalker that could cause her to trigger, so it could be an interesting moment when they help her only for it to not change much. I voted for a different power. Maybe make her a cloth/fashion tinker? It would be a power similar to what she would have, but let her fit into to tinker market he is setting up as Creed. More reasonable for them to work together.

Okita-Chan

She could be an armor tinker, regular clothes would be included in that specialization.

GreedOnGreed

She may trigger while being tortured by Coil and her power may be affected by him. Ps: no, this is more likely to happen in the other story where she might get a second trigger.

Enris

I feel like a cool different set would be a scatterbrained or proficiency thinker would work with what’s going on. It may make some sense that the world is worried creed has a thinker and now he does.

You’re falling into the moral trap all insert stories get, where the Mc knows the future but is morally conflicted on wether or not to let cannon happen, stop that. While it is good character development to have a mc question their decisions nothing is more annoying than having a character constantly angst on wether or not to prevent a tragedy that benefits the world. I see it in every Naruto fix with the Uchiha massacre, just stay true to your charecter, Bryce just wants to have fun with his powers and keep the people he loves safe. He already plans to alter cannon by intervening during leviathan, so saving another person he likes should be fine. Just stop angering over it having chapter devoted to Bryce angering wether or not he should do something only for no decision to be reached are really uninteresting, PWP is already slow going and having him be indecisive will just be annoying, you said it yourself he can heal her dad, so even if Ames doesn’t he should just bite the bullet and do it.

ArtHunt

Don’t make Bryce a moody dude who does what’s best for the world, that’s cauldron and the legendary tinker, Bryce is selfish and does what he wants. Honestly why having Ames knowing his is so annoying, because you’ve written yourself into a corner now where Bryce has no possibility of ever doing bad things and being a truly selfish character because Ames has a metaphorical gun to his head.

T4ndoris

100% agree, foreknowledge is often a trap when share and lead to angst/drama wich in turn can ruin ff when not regulated

Savvyjack

I feel that if she is to trigger it has to be something different, if not its best just to leave her alive and happy with her father. You touched on her relationship with Flechette/Foil, its not like he couldn't introduce them after Leviathan, I believe canon Flechette fell head over heels for Parian on first sight. I think it might be interesting to see how he tried to convince Flechette to randomly introduce them to one another (Maybe the plan fails, or maybe Cupid is in the air)

Jack

I’d like to see something similar to the string string fruit from one piece as her alt trigger.

Zerak

Based on how she triggers her power will differ. So it depends on the scenario of her trigger

Wrathkal

Yeah, given the changes Bryce has wrought so far, I think if she were to trigger, it's with a variant power. That would be a nice way to see more of your original stuff.

dran mada

Yeah variant powers, I could see one shifting it into a sort of cloth/leather centeric tinker/master keeping the tk elements but as a control vector for the tech I feel the master side is still rather present from the classmate and the fear of loosing her father

Zerak

Please don’t leave this up to a vote, have it happen on what first the story. And if she triggers it shouldn’t be a Master as in this universe she isn’t isolated. There use to be a page on the wiki that shows what kind of events lead to each trigger but now you need to go into each classification to find it for each one. There is a non zero chance she might end up as a Biotinker of some sort as all we know about her shard is it gave her a power related to flesh and fabric.

Derpydude9001

I was thinking a changer, shift into something akin to life fibers

Oddfall

If its a variant power she could trigger very differently, and be happy by herself, also doesn't have to interact with Bryce and does her own thing. The power could be using wires like Copper, and others types, and the wires could be even steel. The wire then can be used as a thread, and sewing clothing, even armour similar to coat of mail. Also, I could see her fighting with the wire, like Walter from Hellsing. Another power with wires could maybe connect with electrical devices. Instead of making clothing. otherwise keep the good work

Life fibres fits, Shards inherit information from shards around them and then adapt to information given, particularly Shard-Strands (IDK what they're called) like what's happened in the New Wave group. A better example to draw initial power use from is how the Slaughterhouse does it, by exposing a new trigger to multiple shards Jack then creates a parahuman with a small amount of power from those surrounding. If we look at Sabah and those surrounding her, we get Laserdream or whatever her name is as well as a small amount of contact with glory girl and Panacea. It would make sense for her pre-assigned Shard to take cues from those surrounding her. A sort of semi-sentient Fibre manipulation and creation fits with those surround her. Definitely not actual Life-Fibres because it doesn't make sense to be able to create a fully sentient GETH like Neural Network with no knowledge of how that works even with explanations. I feel like a semi-organic Fibre that's made using plant and animal molecules is much more fitting, with a Manton Limit on Semi-Sentient and Sentient beings. Disallowing control over Alive Cells due to the complex web of active amino acids as well as the increased complexity of the cellular structures inherint in most ALIVE Animals. Dead ones are being affected by Organic-Entropy and are thus "Unspooling" I feel like this is the most reasonable variant of her Canon powers. Though if you think this is too much say so. No need for it to get super complicated.
