Hey everyone, PWP won again, which shouldn't be a surprise anymore, I guess. Still, I've been a very busy spider. Here's all that I wrote for you guys last month and why:

I'm a man of my word, damn it.)

All told, that's ~60-70k words last month. This month should be a bit quieter.

I loved that story but I’m sick of reading intermissions for a story that hasn't centered back on its mc in months. Why waste one of the monthly slots on a story that never sees progress.

The reason it doesn’t see progress is because there aren’t any chapters being written for it??? It’s not gonna suddenly have story again out of nowhere, if people had voted for it every month since January we’d be back into normal story now, cause we’d have been getting 2-4 chapters a month of it, and there was only ever going to be a dozen intermission chapters in the first place

The story has no momentum, it's dead. It will be more painful to be teased with a chapter every 2-3 months, especially considering how much world building Fabled likes to do before diving into the action. I also think Fabled is more interested in other stories right now. Fabled leaves themselves the right to write a few chapters for stories that don't win the vote, the fact they hasn't written anything is telling. LT was their first and this patreons origins, but Fabled has become a better writer since then and stories like Spoon, War, and Troll show that.

Also it’s annoying to see fable talk about neglecting LT and wanting to write more of it but then immediately come up with a reason not to update and move things along outta this dead intermission phase. No one wants to read about Colin. This isn’t a what anyone started reading for but now it’s what we’re stuck with and like someone said earlier, why waste a slot on something a majority of the readers aren’t interested in? The intermission just feels like it should of been it’s own separate piece instead of this Thing that’s latched onto LT.

LT ain’t ever gonna win a vote, no one wants to keep reading the intermission. Feels like LT isn’t even Andy’s story anymore, more like a separate snippet thread you threw onto it to keep it alive in a half ass manner. Maybe it is maybe it isn’t, just comes off like that and that sucks considering LT is how I found you.

PWP, and Spoon are my favorites! I love Colorful life too! I always imagine a epic battle with the Smiurgh and Blake turning into Lapras and dropping a perish song.

Yeah, I really feel like a lot of people subscribed to this Patreon for LT, and just don’t engage anymore now that it doesn’t update, and if Fabled really wanted to, he could just write it slowly over a few months and then publish it all at once, but he seems content to drip feed us content that the majority aren’t interested in. The massive intermission could have been dealt with in exposition in actual chapters (Cauldron report with Andy after he wakes up). Another story I follow did this, and for the last 2 years the story has just been weekly interludes. It’s now a 500k word story with 300k interludes and the chapters get no likes and the story gets no views, after a peak of 500+ likes per chapter on spacebattles

I voted for Apocalypse. I want to see these dungeons he keeps talking about and what the MC gets out of it. And see what other pokemon he'll eventually get, if any. I'm thinking either a fire type or a ride 'mon. Possibly both, like a ponyta

Ive never been mad Fabled eased off LT, honestly every story they make is a gold mine, my problem is they have been writing these long intermissions that are hyper detailed about characters I dont care for. Ive had the impression for a while now that Fabled is just writing that story just because they feel they have to, and as a result have been putting it off a ton and leaving us in intermission hell because they don't know or care where the story goes next. This is what annoys me, Fabled is an amazing writer and a lot of that comes from their attention to details, however now that they have so many stories, it feels like we never get anywhere. Fabled will spend a paragraph describing the Pokemon equivalent of Hawaiian Korean BBQ fusion which I love to read, but is also terrible because it means events like fights take forever to get to. It works for something like Troll because HP is a series where there is like 1 main fight in a book, the rest is building up to that point. But in something like CL it is annoying to see. We still haven't confronted coil and I'm seeing people talk about us destroying endbringers, guys its not gonna happen anytime this year. I just don't see the point in voting for LT, and spreading his focus even thinner just for another intermission.

The struggle is that FW is 110% a drama and story writer, not a fanfic writer. We fanfic readers want combat and OP powerwank, and shenanigans where SI’s and OC’s demolish the setting. As proven by Troll he’s amazing at writing dialogue and characters and general setting construction, which makes for truly beautiful storytelling. Hell, even LT was mainly tinkering, scheming and introspection, which FW is phenomenal at

I think it will depend on current events. PWP is currently at post Endbringer so it’s at a very interesting point. Spoon was at a lull point so less need to see what happens next.
