***ANNOUNCEMENT***

I will not be active for the month of December. I can proudly say that I've never missed a single post this year, but even I need a break. I'll still be writing, but the plan is to build myself a bit of a backlog, flesh out my outlines, and catch up with family in California.

So for the final month of this year, THERE WILL BE NO POSTS OR COMMISSIONS. If I choose to post something, it'll be completely at-will, kind of like my quest lives or Homeless Bunny series. The month is dedicated to rest.

I am telling you all a full two months ahead of time so you are aware. If you want to unsubscribe or downgrade a tier, so be it, but I really need a bit of time to breathe.

For those of you who voted for LT, can I ask what you like about it? I tried getting into it a while ago, got a few arcs in, and while it wasn't bad by any means, it also didn't really catch my interest enough to continue. It has been a while, so maybe it'll be better on a reread or has just gotten better in general, but I just find Spoon and Troll so much more enjoyable in every way.

Truthfully? I kinda agree with you. LT was the first long story I'd ever written and it has a ton of mistakes. I'm told my writing gets significantly better as the arcs go on and arc 6 ended with a very impactful climax, one that I still consider to be the best I've ever written. Thing is, that's ~300k words in so a lot of people stopped reading before that point. I think a lot of people want Andy to come back and acclimate to all the snowballs he'd sent rolling down the hill.

I agree in that I find other stories more enjoyable, but LT is still a nice story. I did not mind the earlier chapters as I really liked the concept. But the story takes a while to ramp up, which I understand is not everyone’s style. My issue with the story was actually the start of the last arc, and I mentioned this issue multiple times during the arc. Having multiple Armsmaster chapters back to back was in my opinion the wrong call to make. It should have been split 1 at the start of the arc, one at the middle, and one at the end. If keeping the same mental space was the issue, it could have been writen then saved for later. So the arc started out weak, but ended on a high note (and the aftermath of a certain event was good) so for the people who kept following it, it’s something they wouldn’t mind seeing over the others. The only thing I don’t like about the story itself is how limiting FabledWebs has made the World Rune, and I don’t mean how he made the minor and major runes, I liked that (though some like the cookie felt too weak). What I meant was that Andy was limited to copying stuff from within LoL and associated media. As in apart from maybe 2 items he did not make a single original item (3 if you include a reinterpretation of a certain mask). The World Rune is called inspiration but we don’t actually see that concept displayed in the story. I get that part of it is balancing, but even just slowly having the aspects appear would have been nice. Like at minimum learning things from Earth Bet and building on those, or merging them with the magic tech he has.

I agree the start of arc 7 was weak, either it should have been condensed or spaced out like you mentioned. The world rune being more versatile was something I hadn't considered until now but it's a good point. It could be seen as a limitation of Andy's as he comes into his own and works more with the world rune. In arc 8 it would be cool to see him innovating more, either with earth-bet tech or league tech. He should be able to piece together the dissociated knowledge given to him by the world rune and create some crazy powerful stuff.
