Indeed it is very possible that she is talking about "Meet the Feebles" as there is a scene at the beginning of the film where the Feebles are copulating... The film was released in 89 and as Monica was born in 88 (she said in Hellraiser 2) I only know the Swiss poster with Heindi the hippo holding a machine gun, but it looked very much like the Muppet. But it's also possible that Monica is talking about "Let my Puppets Come" from 1976 which also has muppets on the poster.

I think commercials, for the most part, stopped being interesting since the 90's. They used to make memorable commercials like during the Super Bowl. But now everything is regurgitated forgettable blandness.

I was lucky too, I got to watch all of those R rated movies as a kid. I even dressed up as Freddy Krueger back in the 80's for Halloween, the plastic one by Collegeville.
