Attention Institute Personnel! 

To celebrate the announcement of Season 2 of Stellaris Invicta, the Templin Institute will be conducting another Q&A session, this time dedicated to Season 1. If you have any burning questions left unanswered about the Greater Terran Union or some other aspect of their campaign against the galaxy, leave it as a comment here!

In the next few weeks, we’ll release a Q&A video on the Templin Archives channel answering all your questions, hopefully. This will be open to everyone, but priority will be given to our Patrons and YouTube members.

Does The Mist Man actually exist?

Was the decision to restore the Florian home world a unanimous decision of the GTU or was there a lot of backlash?

Was there any political pushback against Terra as the extra solar commissariats developed and grew? What I mean is, was there any resentment from commissariasts holding dozens of worlds with countless billions of inhabitants, against the individual commissariats of Earth, whose vote had the same weight as everyone elses, but represented only a small surface of a planet?

What is your vision of the GTU as it heads off into it's golden future? Does it expand beyond the galaxy? What new threats would it encounter if it does so? Will the Mist Man bring an end to this golden age and thrust the GTU into an era of stagnation, decadence, and darkness? I know these are quite a few questions, but I am immensely curious.

Are you going to go over any of the megacorps that exist inside the GTU and other nation-states? And, how do they interact with each other and the GTU?

How come Albion ended up as the capital of the GTU? It was mentioned that it was the first restored but does that mean the Albion was less affected by the war (admittedly being an island can help in invasions) or was it chosen as it was not part of any of the major power blocs? (Which I assume to be European, North American and Asian)

How did the humans manage to beat the tyrum in the first contact war? the odds of humanity being able to fight back against any alien invasion seems slim at best, so how did they do it?

Can you elaborate more on the National Council? It is mentioned in the prologue that each of the 20 Marshals leads a Ministry -- what are these Ministries? Are the Marshals of less military-oriented ministries still drawn from the military or are they drawn from the civil service? Finally, how much power is concentrated in the Office of High Marshal? As head of state, how much power can they exert independently?

Could the GTU ever collapse, and if so what would that mean for the various extra solar and Sol based commissariats?

What sort of cultural festivals / holidays / etc. do the GTU have? How widely celebrated are they? Do citizens and non-citizens have different perspectives on these events?

Yes while it is a single-party state, they do say in the prologue of Stellaris Invicta Season 1 that there are approved opposition parties in the National Assembly which have nominal representation, but they have to be subordinate to the national interest of the GTU.

I would like to know about the role of the high Marshall. Is it a position that is essentialy the figurehead of the council, or do they have extra powers? If so, what are they? For comparison I feel like the council is similar to the federal council of Switzerland who collectively serve as head of state and government. There is a president but he or she doesn’t have any more powerful and the position if merely ceremonial in nature. Or is it like a semi presidential system which the high Marshall has many reserve powers. Also, does the High Marshall keep his or her department post, with the high marshall position being an additional responsibly (again similar to Switzerland where the presidency rotates (1 year term instead of 20)), and the councillors remain in their respective department. I think answering these questions about the supreme executive body of the GTU will give a better idea of its conditional arrangements

How many tiers of citizenship does the GTU have. Is it a numbered system eg. 1-20. What is the highest tier a new conquered xeno can attain. Do children inherit their parents tier. What if the parents are of different tiers.

Are there any movements within the GTU to demilitarize now that humanitie's survival is all but assured? any political factions, authorized and not, that might see the cutting back of the militaristic and authoritarian policies. I Guess my ultimate question is, Has or Can the GTU's Militarism and Expansionism be quenched?

Leaving the mist man aside, what other terrorist organisations have their been? There was mention of xenophobic nativists that were put down but have there ever been secessionist movements on the colonies that have required putting down for example?

How did the challenge of making your own world and story, as opposed to studying and presenting other worlds/stories, effect the Institute? Were there any lessons or insights S1 of Stellaris Invicta gave to the channel (be it something external like viewer interest, or something internal, like development process).
