Pure gold is very unreactive, does not rust, corrode etc...perhaps having the unalloyed gold within your body imposes the gold's attributes on you - stopping any further decay to scarlet rot

I swear I remember a gold Talisman with a shrimp either side praying up to a star in the top corner. But I can't find it on the Wiki. Have Rory and I been Mandela-effected? 🤔

I had a whole bit i was going to write about how Rory wasn't crazy at all because theyd... oh they haven't been to that yet... and they haven't done that yet.... huh. Well at first I was totally on Rory's side and now I very much understand Krupa's confusion.

Honestly the Blind swordsman is my favorite bit of lore in the entire game. We know basically nothing about him except for speculation on his equipment, style, and the talismans that make note of his achievements. There's just something to be respected when you hear about someone overcoming such a massive divide and practically saving the world(potentially)!

Did the same thing, I'm sure it's a mix of the pest talismans and the faithful ones but there's also the DLC one with the outer god which is a similar setup

Hey, maybe you're referring to the Faithful's Canvas Talisman? This shows people looking up to a " shining" star/light at the top of the diamond (shape of the talisman). This is found at an altar prayed to by pests in the Selia Crystal Tunnel? (Sort of Mandela-effect-ed I guess?) (small edit, I was just browsing around Patreon but haven't seen the RTH episode yet; sorry if I'm discussing anything already discussed there)
