It's time to dig deeper into all of Elden Ring's endings, and explore the roads we didn't take...

Hey everyone,

Welcome back to the Roundtable Hold. This isn't the last episode of this run... yeah, we still have a quiz to do in the next few weeks.

But first, it's time to delve deeper into all the different endings and explore what could've happened...

Enjoy today's episode, and thank you so much for watching Roundtable Hold over last couple of years.

Always feels like you’re eating good when you get a RTH the day after a banger of an episode of Retry!

This may be tagged producers above as folks in the discord on that tier cant see this just FYI!

Always love these to help cure my hangover on a sunday! I only wish more of the dialogue Melina has about the Flame of Frenzy was shown. When you are approaching the room and when you rest down there before you inherit. Melina has some great dialogue that adds more context for her beliefs... Also, it's really cool to see her speak against you and intimidate you beforhand

not quite sure if rory realized the sacred relic sword IS Radigon and thats why elden beast has a sword.

This has been one of, if not the, best Let's Plays of Elden Ring ever, I love the work you guys do and I'm excited to see how much Rory and Gav retain for the quiz. I also wanna make a note about the Blessing of Despair ending since it kinda got glossed over. While the Dung Eater is a murderous psycho and I'm as skeptical as anyone that his Mending Rune would bring anything good to the world it's important to understand what his "curse" actually is and, as Krupa often mentions, how language is being used to control people's perception. The Dung Eater's story is connected entirely to the Omen: his armor is meant to resemble an Omen who's horns have been violently removed, the Seedbed Curses you pick up are sprouting horns, and his Mending Rune is actually encircled by Omen horns, and the Sunlight Medal on his chest piece is a symbol of a figure important to the Omen that put him on this path (and a symbol the boys may want to remember when they do the DLC). The Omen themselves are a people that are horribly oppressed in this world either having their horns removed at birth which, if they're lucky to survive the process, results in them being enslaved or, if they happen to be born to a noble family, getting dumped in the sewers for the rest of their lives. All of this to say that the Omen themselves are the "curse" that the Dung Eater wants to bring to the world by making all future generation into Omen and removing them from the cycle of the Erdtree and through the equality of their "cursed" existence forcing them to change the language into a "blessing" instead. Now again, the Dung Eater is a madman and perhaps there's some other suffering his world would bring but I think when the boys get to the DLC it would be interesting to remember the oppression of the Omen and keep in mind the question of why Marika has made a world where they're so reviled in the first place.

Phenomenal work from Krupa throughout the series. Love the build up to the Melina variant of frenzied flame ending

I feel like an important aspect of Ranni's choice is, yes, freeing the world from the influence of Greater Will, but at a cost of removing herself from passions and emotion. Which is in keeping with the cold Intelligence of magic, and also, she is in the shell of a doll, having divested herself of her physical, feeling body. And there is a danger that she will create a very cold and uncaring world. But it could also be read as, she is taking that burden upon herself (and Finchy). People will still feel, be human, but "God" will be at a remove, non-interventionist.

OK. Time to go back to the beginning and start all over again.

Exactly what I've done. Started over the same day the last ep came out.
