We have one final Lord Soul left to claim, Nito's, so we're heading to the Catacombs and into the dark.

You might be wondering why this episode is 2 hours, 25 minutes... which is an astute observation. Well, well... there's a whole self-imposed side-quest that takes us back to the Duke's Archives. It'll make sense. Well, it doesn't make sense sense, but you'll see what we mean.

So, funny thing about the "high frequency noise to scare off the young" thing, a lot of autistic people can hear it, regardless of age. My mother is in her fifties and can still hear them, though not as intensely as she used to. I can still hear them. I think it's linked to the sensitivity of autistic hearing: a lot of us report being able to hear electricity humming in devices. The easiest is the fridge - I think everybody can kind of hear fridge buzz - but I like being able to tell that a lightbulb's just been turned off, or a TV. It's deeply annoying that companies started installing those alarms because it means that I'll be standing somewhere in public and a bunch of kids will start milling and all of a sudden the back of my jaw tenses as I hear the most irritating whine of all time.
