Announcing Our New & Improved Producer Streams (Patreon)

Hello everyone,

We wanted to talk to you about Producer Streams and some big changes we’re making.

Even if you’re not subbed on our Producer tier, we still think this might be of interest to you. We think it’s going to be a great change for all of the RKG audience.

We’ve streamed every month for people on our $20 Producer for the last seven years, and have built up a massive library of content which can be enjoyed on demand. There’s lots of great stuff in that Producer Stream archive. (You can browse the entire collection here.) You can watch Gav complete The Last of Us, see Krupa earn Platinum trophies in Dark Souls 1 (and 3), and enjoy Rory and Gav navigating co-op adventures like Split Fiction and Portal 2.

We’ve enjoyed making these streams, but we want to improve this reward.

So today we’re sharing a little more about our plans.

What's New?

Firstly, streams will now feature all three of us together. In recent years, we’ve tended to stream solo or in pairs, but this is RKG and we want these streams to feature all three of us together.

Secondly, we’ll be playing games we’d love to have a full playthrough of on the public channel but don’t have time to produce alongside ambitious projects like RETRY: Shadow of the Erdtree and our other mainline shows.

But we don’t want to hold off playing games we’re really interested in. So we’ll now be tackling them on Producer streams.

What If I’m Not a Producer?

Here’s the exciting part if you’re not able to be an RKG patron right now.

While we want this content to remain a valuable exclusive for the slugs who are able to support us at this higher tier, we also want to give everyone a taste of what these streams are like. So we’ll be publishing compilation videos featuring some of the funniest moments from these 3-hour-plus streams on our public YouTube channel for everyone to enjoy.

Ultimately this is going to result in more RKG videos for every audience member.

And if one day, you want to join, and see what unedited RKG really looks like, the entire play throughs will be waiting for you on the RKG Patreon. Alongside a 7-year, 400+ hours archive of content, and all our other rewards, too.

So What’s the First Stream Series?

We’re going to be playing 007: First Light.

Lots of have you have requested it, and we think it’s a perfect game for us. It has all of Hitman’s stealth gameplay and sandbox levels, which will no doubt give rise to plenty of chaotic moments, combined with big explosive set pieces and action for Powers to do his thing.

When Can I Watch Bond?

Part 001: Thursday, 8th October

Part 002: Friday, 20th November

Part 003: Friday, 11th December

If you’re able to join us for the stream this week, we’ll be sending out viewing details later today. If not, we’ll have highlights to share with you all later in the month.

Thank You, and More News Coming!

We’ve been working really hard this year, and combined with the addition of Andy, our new editor, we’re in a place to make some meaningful additions to our output. Changes that we think will benefit every RKG viewer, whether you’re a regular YouTube viewer or a hardcore Patreon supporter.

We’re trying to improve the RKG experience for everyone, and we’re excited to share more of what that means in the months ahead. This is the first of several exciting things we have to tell you about.

Any questions about Producer streams, drop them in the comments below and we’ll get back to you.
