A quick primer: Only Silent Hill 1+3 are directly linked. Every other game is its own standalone story with the town being the central linking conceit. So even if you only jump in with the new game/remake, you should be fine providing they're not botched in development.

Krupa nailed it describing the franchise as a black mirror -esque anthology, only 1 and 3 are connected, every other is an individual entry with the town itself as the sole link, so diving straight into 2 remake works perfectly. That said, my favourite is actually torn between 1 and 3, so personally I'd love to see playthroughs, but do understand the difficulty in playing 1

Ide actually maybe suggest not playing SIlent Hill 2 on the show. Its story is played very serious and deals with topics of sexual abuse among other sensitive topics. It just dosnt feel like it would fit the vibe of the show very well. I could see Silent Hill 1 working as its themes arent as intense and possibly even Silent Hill 3. Tonally Resident Evil and other games you guys have played on Spookies isnt as close as you might think to Silent Hill.

I still paint models and I do put the brush in my mouth but it is to adjust the point and to get the last bits of paint out of the bristles if I am at the end of a colour and don't want to waste too much( I am very cheap😁)
