On March 14th, 2016, we published the very first episode of Prepare To Try while we were working at IGN.

Seven years later we’re building a bespoke studio and gearing up for our biggest-ever adventure in Retry: Elden Ring. But before moving forward, we wanted to look back and celebrate the journey so far.

Across 161 episodes, we’ve collected so many incredible memories playing the works of FromSoft and Lazy Michael Zaki. ‘Finchy’ – a throwaway gag in the very first episode – now refers to an ever-expanding family of characters that have fully taken on a life of their own. Back in 2016, we never would have dreamt people across the world would get tattoos, cosplay as Froggy, make their own Finchy toys, or name their pets after him. But that’s what happened and so much more.

To celebrate the show, and the community that grew around it, we wanted to create something really special – a piece of art that brought all of these adventures to life. So we decided to throw an imaginative wrap party for the show in Firelink Shrine and invite all of our favourite characters to come celebrate with us. We imagined Lautrec would probably ice Powers, Artorias could keep an eye on Coco and Ramen for us, and for some inexplicable reason, Ornstein and Smough wouldn’t be on the guest list…

We had a lot of ideas, and drew on a secretive survey we sent out to the community years ago. To bring it all to life, we needed to work with a fantastic artist. Luckily we know André Lima Araújo. Not only is his style perfect for this type of piece, he worked on the official Bloodborne comic and actually watches our show. We worked closely together to thread dozens of references to the show and the games throughout the piece. And André hasn’t just somehow found a place for all of these moments, he’s made it look beautiful too. This is also thanks to the talented colorist Chris O'Halloran, whose work has really brought the piece to life.

We’re immensely proud of this piece and what it represents. We’ve been working on it since late 2020 but we wanted to wait for the right moment, which feels like now – right before we head off on our most ambitious adventure and usher in the next age of RKG.

Lastly, we want to say ‘thank you’. Not only for supporting what we make and us, as people, across the last seven years but for building a supportive and inclusive community around us. It’s the thing we’re most proud of, and it was only possible because of you.

We hope you love it as much as we do.

About the Print

To showcase the amazing work of André and Chris, we aren’t releasing this as a glossy poster but a high-quality Giclée print on Hahnemühle Photorag, an archival art paper. It has a super matte finish with even colours and excellent detail.

It’d look at home in the Louvre or on the wall of your downstairs toilet. Up to you really.

The Lost FinchyFest is available in three different sizes. This print comes without a frame or mount.

All the profits from the print will be invested into making RKG even better. Supporting us directly allows us to create with complete freedom.

The store closes at midnight on Friday, March 31st.

Amazing print guys. Can’t even describe the amount of nostalgia looking at this brought me. Hard to believe I was a teenager when PTT started. Here’s to 100 Finchys more 🍻

Reece Williams

Outstanding, couldn’t be happier to support a better group of lads👏🏻

Andrew Franges

I have a playlist on YouTube of almost all of PTT/Retry. Sometimes I fall asleep to it, so some of these memories are burned into my brain. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Dean Brown

7 years is crazy, I remember watching that very first episode that night as I was always eager to see the stuff the UK team at IGN made. What a journey, here's to many more years. 👏🏻

tophicodemus

Love that you included the “Dancer being deployed to Iraq” reference. One of my favorite PTT memories.

Kevin Farrell

I do the same thing. I have absolutely been woken up by the boys celebrating a defeated boss, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

James O'Donnell

Amazing! 7 years on and I still regularly go back to PTT. Congrats on 7 years boys and I couldn't be happier to be supporting in any way I can.

Lady Vengeance

Holy smokes this looks incredible! Cheers to all involved. Placing my order now! Happy anniversary! 🍻

Dan O'Connor

This is incredible. Happy Birthaversary lads!

Josh Krause

Happy Birthday to ya’ll!! Just finished my order. Love the Easter eggs and the quality of the print. Here’s to the next seven years! 🍻🍻🍻

Sam Bowden

Amazing just order the small size one!!! Anyone know a place to get a decent frame ☺️ happy 7 years boys

Andrew Franges

Maybe the hardest Rory has ever made Gav laugh. That one came out of nowhere.

Lauren and Jonathan Mair

I love this so much!!! Congratulations on all your successes. Here's to the next 7 years, cheers 🍻

Ohm Shukla

Don’t know where I’d put this but I have to say that it’s brilliant. Can’t believe I retained so much from a series I accidentally clicked on when looking for a DS1 guide

Nathan Eckerdt

Well, there's a day 1 buy if Ive ever seen one! Love it. Congrats boys, and thanks for letting us share in your success!

Littlest Lilac

I feel like a fool, but where's the link to buy it?

Littlest Lilac

Oh! On my phone it just looked like a quote, not a link. Thank you so much 💗

Littlest Lilac

I don't want to be at all disrespect, but is there a way to ship it more cheaply overseas? It's £37.50 to the Midwest USA. Does the POD company maybe have a US distribution center? Or perhaps we could purchase the image digitally and have it printed locally? I'd really love to buy the mid-sized one, but the shipping cost is prohibitive. Thanks 💗

Kyle Boren

This is awesome, a regular where’s Waldo of finchy

rkg

We hear you. Not disrespectful at all. Basically, this is for a few reasons. The place we’re using has until recently always sent things by Royal Mail overseas. But recently in the UK, due to industrial action and a major cyber attack, the Royal Mail’s service levels have dramatically declined, and so they’ve shifted to using DHL for regions where postage has been unreliable. This is their decision and beyond our control. But DHL delivery is exceptionally fast and reliable, with most deliveries to the US within 3 days. We do appreciate this is more expensive, but we want to use this printer as they’re incredibly reliable and it ensures it’s printed in the way we want. But we’re open to evaluating this in future, and the situation with the Royal Mail may, of course, change ❤️

Littlest Lilac

Thank you for the explanation. I completely understand and respect that you do things to the standard of quality that you prefer, rather than risk a lower quality product. It's a shame about the Royal Mail, but I definitely get the reasoning behind switching to DHL. Thanks again for responding, and with any luck I'll have an unexpected windfall and be able to nab one, regardless. Best wishes 💗

Derfel

It Looks amazing. I want to thank the Boys for those seven amazing years. Life wouldn't be the same without you!

Simon Swann

This is absolutely awesome lads. Thank you for all the great years, can’t wait to see what’s next! x

Michael Teague

Amazing. Had to have. Can't wait for it to get here

Patrick Soliman

I love you guys so much, will always be here to support you all

Dan Kilrea

Yes please. This is so cool. Hard to believe it’s been 7 years. Keep it up fellas!

Cupunista

Love it. If the custom tax isn't both ridiculously expensive and ambiguous here in Indonesia, I will buy this in a heartbeat. I will always support you slugs regularly every month though. cheers from Jakarta!

GazF

Just need to say that Krupa doing a look to camera is perfect

Steve Wood

Excellent, looking forward.

Jake Tyler Howry

Would love to see a fully annotated breakdown of this. Bit spendy with DHL but how can you say no

Connor Wallond

Didn’t expect this to arrive so quick but I’ve already got mine and it somehow looks 100x better in person

André Lima Araújo

I'm just here to say that it was an absolute pleasure to work with The Boys on this one, both as a slug and as an overall fan of the quality of their work.

Michael Riser

Man, this is so great. I wish I could get it, but shipping to America is as much as the item itself. Would be an instabuy if I could afford it.

Liam O'Dwyer

Oh boy this is epic but sadly the smallest size print is almost $200 AUD to ship to Australia :( I am in need of a scheme!

Steve Wood

Man, you weren't lying about the shipping. I ordered five days ago and it's already here in NYC. It's gorgeous!

Jarrod Roberts

Is this going to be available to buy again at a later date? Getting it too Australia is from $200 to $300 which isn't in my budget right now 😅 is it only a limited time thing?

Samuel Chandler

Yeah this shipping and exchange rate is insane (I know the lads can't help any of that). I'd love to purchase a digital copy of the largest one and get it printed locally.
