Recently we found out that Rory's never seen RoboCop and decided to fix that with an extra special episode dedicated to Paul Verhoeven's 1987 ultra-violent masterpiece.

If you've never seen the film, this is the perfect opportunity to also remedy that. We've split the podcast into two parts: Powers' predictions before watching the film then his reaction after we watched the film together.

What?! Haven't seen Robocop?! One of the most bad assest badass action films of the 80s. Please remedy this as soon as possible. Edit: Fave death? The ED-209 massacre. It's just so over the top and gratuitous that it makes me laugh.

I too hadn’t seen Robocop until I was in my thirties. It’s actually one of the great memories I have of my friend Owen who passed away a couple of years ago. He too made sure to rectify the situation of me not seeing this movie.

Tip for Rory: Watch Robocop 2, which is not quite as good as the first, but still decent. Completely avoid 3, and go to the new game Rogue City which is essentially a replacement for 3.

Because of this I have just watched Robocop for the first time. And the guy on TV saying, "I'd buy that for a dollar". It basically the original version of Gary Oldman's, "I gotta get me one of those!"
