Hey everyone! It's been over a month since I released the animation for Marley's Escape From Leena's Belly and I thought it would be worth sharing some of the first sketches I did when planning it! One difference is that originally Marley was going to be hiding in a stump but I later changed it to bushes. There's some poses for Leena I also didn't end up using in the final animation but I still like the sketches, maybe I might re-purpose them for later animations. Also the animation has already reached 1 million views on Youtube which is still pretty amazing to me, I'm glad people have that much interest in the stuff I'm making! Thanks again!-PM

Honestly, I have a feeling image 10 will be a completed drawing at some point. But yowza, your sketches are rougher than I thought(as in I tried to use 3d spheres and such, but that got me nowhere)

I use an older version of the program called Flash CS6 which I've used for over a decade!

I do some rough circle and shape outlines but that's about it, I really try to not go too detailed with sketching and prefer to add a lot of it into the actual lineart! That's just the process that works with me haha

WOW! It’s so COOL to see the early sketches of Marley's Escape From Leena's Belly! I really LOVE the Leena’s unused poses, I do hope you get to reused them on another project! Also CONGRATULATIONS on the animation reaching one million views! That’s AMAZING!
