MC's Room (To customize or not) 🤔 (Patreon)

I'm currently doing some outlining and figuring out some things for Ch. 2, one being MC's bedroom.

 As you can tell by the post's title, I want to know what you want when playing.

Would you like to have specific items that you can put into your MC's room? (They could be something from one of the two hobbies you get to choose next chapter. You could also add items that you will eventually get from RO's.)

Would you like to have a few options for the style? (Dark Academia, Modern, Minimalist, )

Or, do you not care at all?

Feel free to drop thoughts and suggestions!

I like both ideas, having items related to our hobbies/items from ROs and having a general style option for the room theme.

If the creator is willing to add those types of variables I find them fun to play through for the flavor text. Otherwise maybe there could be a default theme or option to pass if the player finds it too tedious. 🙂

Okay, absolutely love the idea of having those kind of options when playing. It's a big ask; and I'm happy you as the creator are willing to give this to us. It makes the experience of the game feel more personalized for the player. That being said; it's hard to choose between them. Like if it's a pick of styles - I think having a blurb description as you pick them would be nice. Like look at this cottagecore style room; with this lamp and this color comforter; or look at this eclectic style room - with this lamp made out of books or something to that extent ... It would also be nice to give our hobbies some space too - like if you're into reading there's a space where there's a comfy armchair and a large shelf of books, or even if it's a corner bedside table overflowing with books; or if there's an art hobby, with painting and there's an easel set up and paint kind of collecting on your desk or a yoga mat closest to the window for some nice warm sun and mindfulness. Idk I'm bad at being able to choose between. Both of the options give so much to gameplay. If there's a way to do both, I say do both but it's also a lot of coding to do and extra writing. Honestly just happy either of them are an option

The most feasible thing to do, and what I’ve seen some other IF’s implement and what the other comments are saying lol, is the style options. Which isn’t a bad route to go down and I think is a good way to satisfy that lil customization itch without being too much effort. But I think having a choice of specific items could be real nice, tho ofc you shouldn’t push yourself to make that kinda addition!!! It’s a really cute idea that adds some replay incentive, specially if there’s RO reaction or like, as you said, items you get from RO’s. 10/10 ideas either way fr.
