We got more cats, Daleks, and tears in this one! In this video I'm reacting to the episodes "Gridlock", "Daleks in Manhattan" and "Evolution of the Daleks".

,,They weaponizing David Tennant against me, thats not fair" - That is a VERY true statement... And this is just the tip of the iceberg of what this show does to people. (Especially his run)

Savitar

ah the episodes where the doctor and spiderman fight the Daleks

Liam Gradwell

David Tennant is most definitely the actor the world doesn’t deserve, because any role he plays, he does it with 100% effort. We just need to appreciate him more. 😭💜

Flufux

"We got cats, and we got lesbians"...now all we need is cat lesbians. Though I guess there's always She-Ra for that. Also, I don't know if you noticed, but those were the same four Daleks we met in the season 2 finale. In fact, just before the Doctor and Rose sucked them and the Cybermen up into the void, Dalek Sec could be seen teleporting away. Oh, and one thing I can say is that I did not know what the line about 'being into musical theatre' meant when I first watched this episode, and now that line is way funnier to me. By the way, have you seen the Amazing Spider-Man movies, because that was Spider-Man himself (Andrew Garfield) playing Frank.

Glad you're feeling better! ❤️

Again, the Daleks are the cockroaches of the Whoniverse. They'll never go away. I love how you were like "Oh yeah they should just shove that guy into a Dalek, since he likes them so much" and then they literally did that

Gridlock - I have no idea why but that couple from before the opening titles who die are dressed like the couple from the famous American Gothic painting. - If this is New New York it really should be called the Highway instead of the Motorway. Junctions and laybys are also UK terminology. - Doctor Who was always good for surprise gay. In a time when depicting gay people was so restrictive the show always made the effort to swap a pronoun or change what would normally be a bog-standard friends/siblings relationship to a romantic one so that queer people had a presence. - As you mentioned, the showrunner is gay. He cut his teeth in TV making a show called "Queer as Folk" that was a frank and sexually graphic drama about gay male relationships. - That guy in the bowler hat sounded distinctive. I looked up his IMDB and he has hundreds of video game voice over credits. - The Macra appeared in episodes with the Second Doctor, but those were lost along with many other episodes as they were just taped over. I really wish we could see how 60s budget TV handled 2 storey crabs. Stopmotion maybe? Cardboard shadow puppets? Daleks in Manhattan - Ha, you usually only see our best actors who can do flawless American accents - Hugh Laurie, Christian Bale, etc. But there are so many bad impersonations out there. This episode is filled with them. - This 2 parter was not well regarded. I liked the concept - the most deadly things in the universe keep getting defeated so they proactively change themselves, but the execution was not to my tastes. - "I know this happened a long time ago..." - I'm afraid it never stopped happening. Tent cities are dotted about all over the US. Every so often a place's mayor will order the police to brutally clear them, detain all the residents, and destroy all their belongings. - Andrew Garfield isn't the first movie star who got their start on Who. Keep your eyes peeled and you'll see more big names over the seasons. - The Luigis were most active during the Gilded Age that ended a decade or so previously. The fact that society still suffered through end-stage capitalist collapse with the Great Recession and that subsequent gains in social and welfare programs relied solely on FDR's admin having the vision to see through the New Deal does not bode well for us. - I was also grossed out by the human-dalek's design. Those hideous face tentacles, the neat white teeth, and the bulge of its cyclops eye.

This is a gross distortion of history and has no basis in reality. I could go on about the role of the Federal Reserve, agrarian overproduction, and total lack of regulation or oversight on bank loans but I think most people can just read "people panic selling only took 1% of the risk" and try and square that idea with how many ordinary people immediately lost their entire savings and homes when the stocks crashed And I don't know who did such a number on you that you could have lived through the 2008 recession and blamed it on the "stupid working class" given the predatory loans and repackaging of toxic assets by companies like Lehman Brothers and Merrill Lynch. That's one hell of a bubble to seal yourself off in.

Gallifreyanqueen

Just so you know, the Daleks are in every single season of this show. You're gonna see a lot of them

Lucy Hallett

You’re such a lovely kind, rare individual you aspire me I look forward to every video you do. Thank you for being yourself and showing me that it’s okay to be who I am.

T0m4002

the macra are a returning monster from the 1967 episode "The Macra Terror"... they were sapient in that episode but as stated they devolved in the motorway

Tintros

Excellent video :) -Kittens & Lesbians. That could totally be an episode title :) But yeah, they were both good. -The little claps. Aw :) -"You're Weaponizing David Tennant against me!" :DDDDD -Doctor Who is excellent at pulling on your emotions, creating side characters that you care about, and making a LOT with a limited budget. The pigman jumpscare, Lazlo and Tellulah (3 L's and an H indeed..) etc makes for some quality writing and production. -Oh, you have SO much more emotional turmoil coming... I look forward to following you into it :)

Willow 404

BY THE WAY- hope you see this, just fyi the VERY LAST episode of this season (3x13) has some scenes cut in the HBO Max version. they're not massively important and the episode is still easily understandable without them, but I thought you should know in advance. Idk if the downloads you were originally watching has them, I just know they aren't included in the Max episode.

Verdigree

Not only did they have kittens, but they HAD kittens, they must somehow get more human-shaped as they grow up

Morgan Terry

I have not seen the Amazing Spider Man so this episode was my introduction to him. Also I totally missed those Daleks being the ones from the S2 finale. Thanks for that info!

Morgan Terry

Aw thank you for that Lucy! It means a lot that people like yourself enjoy my emotional dorky self! :)

Chloe Small

I need to say, I was waiting for that "He's into musical theatre" line and your reaction did NOT disappoint! xD

The Baker's Ruview

The stock market crash of 1929 was one of Alastors favourite years. from Hazbin hotel. And Alastors date of death was 1933...i know they're 2 completely different shows but i thought it was just a fun little quirky fact since this is set in 1930.

LikeCat

One very disturbing fact is that... Remember the girl at the beginning of the episode who forgot her parents?... Those parents came back at the end of the episode when the Doctor reopened the highway... Yeah. And there are presumably more people like that, we just only saw her.

demonic-myst

Its bit distirted uts breaking it doen to root cause can be offended all u eabt but all you kit done is politicse it to push more aughoritarian policies

demonic-myst

lack of regulation” anyone who claims lack of regulation caused either event has never researched either event Bpth had sseveral federal laws that cused the perfect enviroment for crash And panic selling is literaly what damGed the banks in the first place calling giving people who need money predatory is halarous now days you whining cant get a loan but when ucould get a loan its oredatory make up your mind , and blaming that on oredatory loans when the loans eas to famble on a stock market is halarous orecatory required desoeration the people who took these loans were not victims they were ambitous people with more dreams than brain cells

Luke

- fun fact: the "couple" in the american gothic painting aren't actually a couple, they're a father and daughter! - the macra terror (like many missing classic who stories) is available to watch in animated form with the original audio, but yeah, i'm hoping they somehow find the original visuals like they have with a few other episodes, because it's a brilliant story and i would love to see how the effects were originally done! - personally i really like this two parter and don't really understand why it's not viewed better by the rest of the fandom - i assume the appearance of the human-dalek has something to do with it because... jesus christ yeah that thing confuses and concerns me lol

Morgan Terry

Not gonna lie every time I hear anything about the stock market crash or the year 1929 I have to force myself to not bring up that bit from Hazbin

The Baker's Ruview

So you was fighting with yourself real hard during this 2 parter lol😆💜🧁

LikeCat

You're welcome. There are things like that in DW where it seems ,,innocent" at first, but the more you think into it, the more painfull it gets... Mostly with things NOT shown in an episode and just there in the background of the episode. (Or sometimes episodes)

Matthew

I really love the soundtrack in Series 3, composer Murray Gold really pulled heartstrings with it.

LikeCat

I saw a meme (from Gridlock I believe) of David holding a kitten with the captions of ,,The most precious thing on Earth... And a kitten". Which is just SO wholesome no matter the context.

I Create Myself

Hey Morgan, great reactions as always, and you made my day by letting me know you liked the shirt and stuff. A little secret: the binary code in the background of the shirt says "there are only two genders - said the closed-minded bigot" And I have to say, I soo identify with your emotional roller coasters and how you feel for the characters. Thanks (again) for sharing it with us!

Gridlock: 9:48, "Buy some anger. If- if New New York. Or New x 15 (I'm lazy😂) has places you can sell anger, I'm gonna be a billionaire, bro. Elon Musk, WATCH OUT!🤣🤣🤣" I already got plenty of anger in me, hehe😅. But if you sell happiness, I'll gladly buy some of ya🤣 14:32, "Word of advice. All of you. Cash up. Close down. And pack your bags. Why's that then? Because as soon as I find her alive and well, and I will find her alive and well, then I'm coming back. And this street is closing. Tonight!" He is dead serious against what they're doing! This is why I like David as the Doctor the most. He plays him SO WELL👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼!! 19:30, "*GAAAAAAASP* KITTIIIIIIEEEEESSSSSS!!" 🤣🤣🤣! I KNEW YOU WERE GONNA REACT LIKE THAT🤣🤣 23:30, "Come on now sister's. Is that any way to talk to an old friend? You know full well we're not sister's, we're married." We have queers🏳️‍🌈 in this show, let's goooo😍 32:02, and downward he goes. We're about to see some sh*t😶😳 33:03. Yup. Nudists. My bisexual a** was NOT PREPARED!!! 35:30, "You can't jump! It's a 1,000 feet down!" That actor, Idk who he is, but I love the way he said that line! 36:48, "GIANT CRABS?! ARE YOU SH*TTING ME? GIANT CRABS!" Yup. That's the monster, or in this case montersss, of the highway. 40:30, "They're all dead?!" Yeah. And, judging by the fact that there's only the skeleton left, it's been many years. 24, to be exact. The wlw couple, said they've been on the highway for about that long! 47:36, "... she was just a hologram. My name is The Doctor. He's a magician." Yes, yes he is😁 51:35. Rest in peace, Face of Boe. It's been an honor, knowing you🫡💜 52:20, "Just what every city needs. Cat's in charge. AGREED!! Agreed! Put the cats in charge!" 😆😁 Daleks in Manhattan: 1:11:30, "Have you been to the police? Yeah we tried that. Another dead beat goes missing, *big deal*." It's so sad that this is actually our history. Not even 100 years into our past, and this was the reality of almost every homeless person. It annoys the hell outta me! 1:25:22, "... umm, basically... RUN!" Yes, run for your lives!!! 1:31:05, Tallulah: "Oh. I should've realized. He's into musical theater." You Morgan: *gasp* 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Me: Bravo🤣👏🏼🤣👏🏼🤣👏🏼🤣👏🏼 1:37:00, are you okay Morgan? You looking a little, uh, uncomfortable 1:47:20, "Keep walking. I'm so glad to see you. Yeah, well, you can kiss me later. You, too, Frank, if you want to." Am I crazy, or is The Doctor possibly Bisexual/Pansexual?! Hmm😏. Doctor queer confirmed? 1:50:00, "I am a human dalek. I am your future." Hell no! Nuhuh! Yikes! If THAT is our future, then we ain't humans! Sorry, I get really fired up🔥! 1:50:15, "What's that line? You know you could've asked my consent before making me witness something so disgusting." Yeah. That was the exact Jax line from TADC! Bravo Morgan. Gold star for you🌟 Evolution of the Daleks: 1:54:03, "I... feel... humanity. I... feel... everything... we wanted from mankind... which is... Ambition. Hatred. Aggression. And war. Such a genius for war" Geez, really pointing out our mistakes and flaws right there😬. Give us some slack, will ya, Dalek? Yes, us humans have a talent for war. Whether it's by actual weapons or just words. But still, there are humans, who use their gifts to help others. Sacrifice almost everything, just to save someone else. That's what's so, amazing and magnificent, about us humans. We have both peace and war within us. It just depends on what path we choose to walk! 1:58:25. Boo😧! Jumpscare😆 2:02:15, "Exterminate. Yup, I knew it. I f*cking knew it. Oooh, Solomon. Oh😧. He's feeling." Yeah😃, he's becoming more human. Not in appearance, but in mind. 2:05:40, "The deaths were wrong." I'm sorry, WHAT😲?! A dalek... a Dalek, said that! Well I'll be damed😳 2:10:07-41, "I still don't know what you need me for. Your genius. 😯😏😊. The computer, pure dalek. Intelligent, but emotionless. Removing the emotions makes you stronger. That's what your creator thought, all those years ago. He was wrong. He was what? It makes us lesser than our enemies. We must return to the flesh. And also, the heart. You wouldn't be the supreme beings anymore. And that, is good." I'm liking this human dalek more and more😊 2:13:50, "When is that solar flare? 11 minutes. Alright then. Better get to work. Oh my god. He's actually going to do it. He's actually going to do it. He's f*cking crazy." Well, that's the Doctor for ya. I'm so surprised he's willing to help an accident enemy. Woah😲. Just... wooaah😲 2:34:28. So long, human dalek. I'll admit, I didn't like you in the beginning. But, I did end up liking you. Farewell😔 2:35:25-2:36:07, "They're not firing. What have you done? You will obey. Exterminate. Why? Daleks do not question orders! But why? You will stop this! But, why? You must not question! But, why? You are not our master. And we... we are not Daleks. No you're not. And you never will be. Sorry. I got in the way of the lightning strike. Time lord DNA got all mixed up. Just that little bit of freedom." Brilliant Doctor, as always😏👏🏼😁 2:39:36, "Oh Tallulah with 3 L's and an H. Just you watch me!" Heck yes! Save Lazlo🥹... "The pig and the showgirl." 😂😂 Last edit. Sorry this got so long😅: That was a, fun-ish reaction. I'm probably gonna start the next one now. See ya Morgan😜✌🏼

shannel cattell

I love how in the last episode at 1:56:46 it's just Daleks gossiping 😭😭🤣

Thaniel Grey

I'd accuse you of being a bot, but I don't think ChatGPT could spell that badly even if it tried.

Alfredo Delgadillo

The crab aliens are an alien species the second doctor went up against. They were intelligent capable of controlling people to feed them pollution. Unfortunately the epsiode is lost but it is animated

Chance

Arune Minecraft

Spider-Man vs Daleks. Never thought I’d see the day.

Faroth

Imagine having a series so long and old that even the channel start to lose episodes
